Got my biometrics letter on friday. The appointment is for Aug 29th but going to do a walk-in today (Raleigh, NC) to try speed things up. Anyone here have experience with this office? The most recent approved EAD from Raleigh I can see on here was 1 month from biometrics to approval!

CIS Office : Raleigh NC

Date Filed : 2019-07-11

NOA Date : 2019-08-06

Hi! Raleigh Field Office too! Bio appointment August 27 and we filed 2019-07-13

Hi! I had my biometrics appt today in Jacksonville, FL. We went through airport type security at the entrance, where I was asked for my appt letter and ID, and my husband was asked for his ID. We were directed to another room where at the desk I was asked for: Letter, ID and marriage certificate (the lady filled out the form, only asking my eye colour, weight and height). Brief wait (my husband waited in a separate area - they're right next to each other) and then photo, fingerprints and signature. It was approx 10 minutes from entry to exit - there were only two people ahead of me. Super easy, no stress at all.

Thank you for sharing this. Why did you take your marriage certificate?

I can't remember where we read it and/or saw it but it was online somewhere (my husband thinks he saw it on nolo and I think I watched a "what to expect at biometrics" video where she needed hers), so we took ours just in case! I actually took my birth certificate as well (not needed), but the marriage certificate was my proof of name change. The letter was addressed to my married name and my ID only shows my maiden.

I had to have mine for name change.  We apply for AOS in married name but passport is in maiden.

We went to our 11AM Bio appointment in Revere, MA last Thursday... There were 127 people in front of us and my husband didn't get in until 2:30. Lol...  why do they call it an 'appointment'? 🤯

WOW 127 people that is a lot...... I did notice when we did biometrics that everybody in the room had different times however most decided to show up early...so maybe that was the case too

I just checked my USCIS case status And nothing has been updated since January when the I-129f was approved.  I attended interview in Montreal, received VISA, married on June 21, filed I-485 documents in late June and went for biometric appointment last week.   Has anyone encountered this where case is progressing but nothing is noted on case status?

New or old site? If you haven't manually inputted your MSC receipt numbers on the new USCIS site, you need to.  It does not happen automatically.

I’m sorry if this has been asked- searching is difficult on the phone for this site. What documents should be brought to the biometrics appointment?

Your AOS has a totally different case number. You need to add that to your account.
