I filed my packet July 12. USPS tracking shows the packet arrived July 14. Till today I haven't received anything from USCIS for 797. Called customer service yesterday, and I was told that my information has not been entered in system yet. Check is not cleared either.

Anyone else in the same situation??

same! July 13th sent received July 15th. nothing yet..

My tracking info said it was delivered but I haven't received NOA1 yet (16 days passed). I wonder if the packet is lost too... How did you know it was lost in mail?

We saw in the tracking number that the package was stuck in a delivery facility center for days. We called usps and told them that and it solved. We got NOA1 hard copy last week.

Geez glad you found that out early! I just emailed the lockbox support center and hope they can provide some useful info. Finger crossed

Some happy news, July filers.  The USCIS website indicates processing times for EAD/AP have dropped to 2.5 - 5 months.  I think last week it was 6.5 - 8.5 months so this is amazing news for us! :)

Please!!! That will be so great. I started volunteering in a dog shelter. I highly recommend to do some of that while you wait. To keep your head sane.

It took us a week to realize it was stuck there. We were on vacation with family and when we got back we checked if we got NOA1 and nothing. We checked the tracking number and there it was when we realized it never delivered.

Hi,

This is my first time and I'm have a question.

Little background

Sent AOS, AP and EA together July 17th and got notification July 24th.

When I first arrived we went to SS office for SSN and they were so nice by explaining to us the process and that we might not get it because I just arrived but they still went ahead and put in the request. They told us it might take 4 weeks to hear decision back from them. So after two weeks of waiting we went ahead and sent our packet to USCIS without SSN and checked that I need SSN on I-485.
Now, yesterday we received a letter from SS office that it was approved and SSN card in the mail (don't know why they came same day)

We are not getting worried about me having two SSN
The question is, please is there a way to notify USCIS that I have one already or what should I do?

Thanks

We did the exact same thing and no, you will not have two numbers. Whichever one processes first will be your number. They will see it in the system when the time comes. I would just leave it for now. It's been over four weeks for us and no card yet, or approval

Okay, thank you.

I'll suggest you visit them again if the office is not far from you.

Been there and done that! We went four weeks to the day, and they told us nothing. Just to wait. They couldn't check anything without having the number to look up. So we wait. What day did you apply if you don't mind my asking?
