My husband and I had our interview yesterday. The interview notice got lost in the mail and we only had 4 days to do the medical. We finished it in time but it was a busy 4 days. We got approval on the spot. We are same sex couple from Canada. I’m adjusting form a NAFTA visa. The officer asked me about my previous approved I140 petition. And how our relationship started. We are in Los Angeles and we finished  the process in 6 months. Good luck everyone hang in there.

Anyone know if I can get a MASS ID with notice of action I797 for my EAD card? Only wondering because I start work next week and my card hasn’t arrived yet so I wanted to try go today and get a ID card sorted.

Our interview is coming this next Tuesday. I'm assuming that the new forms will not apply for ours, right? I'm aware there have been changes to some of the forms but we are only planning on taking with us the old forms we submitted last year. If someone can clear this up for me I'd appreciate it :D.

We were approved today. Green card should be arriving in the next 4 weeks according to the officer. He was really nice with us, said our case looked like a good couple and that's why he brought both of us in. He made it sound like with suspicious couples he would interview each separately. He asked for photos, and to tell our story. Asked my wife the yes/no questions. And finally any kind of bonafide documentation.

Glad this process is finally over and now we will see you guys back in about two years or less for the I751 haha. One thing the officer also menyioned is that the removal of condition form may not require an interview if the relationship looks legit to them.

Thanks visa for all the help throughout this journey 😁

Congratulations! We have our interview coming up at the end of Feb and was wondering what documentation/bona fide proof you brought with you to the interview. We have an idea of what to bring - joined lease, financial documents, shared bills, photos, plane tickets of trips we had together, joint taxes if we filed by then...what else? Just curious on what you brought so we can be better prepared. Thank you! And congratulations again!

We brought our apartment lease, car title, medical insurance, car insurance, 401k (I added her as my beneficiary showing 100% of what corresponds to her)and our joint bank account paperwork. He also asked us if we could give him our photos and of course we said yes.

He gave me the impression that the bonafide documentation wasn't essential because we had been approved already. But I don't know know about your situation or what evidence you have already provided so taking any kind of evidence will help.

Hope that helps! And good luck with your interview.
