So sad it shouldnt take them more than 90 days to review the evidence(BC) i sent them back in Sept(which they marked received in Oct) i think im going to contact my congress office on Monday.... My husband and i have been patient and trying to stay positive but i must admit i am ready for him to start working i have been supporting us since he arrived in May and although we are fine another income in the house would be great.....

I'm interested to know what people say to their Congress about this. I may want to do the same but I don't know what to say.

I reached out to my local congressman when I was waiting for my ROC. I reached out to him several months after my case was out of processing time and USCIS was not reacting to my inquiries that case is late. I had to provide proof, like my correspondences with USCIS. So, I don’t think that you can reach out to congress if you feel like you are waiting too much. You have to file inquiry with USCIS first.

well I contacted my congress office and they emailed me a release of privacy form to fill out and I also had to send them the receipts from the petitions... I just did that today..She then called to follow up with me and to tell me what she had done and she said it takes them no more than 2 weeks with a response and that she would get back to me as soon as she hear something... I just basically told her the timeline of our AOS and that was it.....then she had me send her all the aforementioned items its worth a try my husband and I have been good sports but I am running out of good sportsmanship to be honest with you :)

Hello, July filers! My status changed to "interview was scheduled" today. This came as a surprise as my field office is on 9 months average timeline.

Here are the dates in snapshot:

NOA-1 - July 29, 2019

Ready - September 25, 2019

Scheduled - January 15, 2020

Field office: Las Vegas

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Argentina

Good morning everyone! I'm getting all my papers ready for AOS Interview, have no appointment yet but still is nice to get everything in advance.

Question:

Does anyone know if we need to add an Affidavit of support from my K1 Visa co-sponsor?. Because, even though my husband works, the co-sponsor tax return was required to fill out the AOS petition as well. Hope my interview is not that soon as other July fillers because my co-sponsor is out for vacations overseas. 😅

Expedite for EAD - 34 days NO RESPONSE

Second RFE response received - 19 days ago NO RESPONSE!! Boston filer here and I’m completely over this process about to lose a good job offer due to being given false hope when I made the expedite request that I would get a response within 5-30 days. Numerous of calls to USCIS each week and still nothing no more information I hope that one time I call they will see more information than I can and give me something but nope. I get everyone’s case is different but I just find it hilarious that people that filed in October already have EAD’s and interviews scheduled and there is some of us here still waiting for one of this. Absolutely over it. Sorry I’m just ranting but I’ve been here for 7 months already and already been 5.5 months since I filed my paperwork.

Really sucks... you have every right to rant.  So sorry and sending positive vibes your way.  The way these applications are processed is inexplicable....

Our sympathies! Have you tried asking for a Tier 2 officer on the phone, or asking for an infopass appointment? Best of luck!

Yeah spoke to a tier 2 officer twice this week and wasn’t helpful at all. How do I get an info pass I see you can’t do it online anymore.

My status changed to "Interview was Scheduled" today. Much earlier than I expected but it's a great thing :D Bay Area has some truly horrific timelines.

P. s. I've had "Ready to be Scheduled" since October 9

Wow lucky! Where is your local office again? Mine has been ready to be scheduled since September but because it's SF, I don't have high hopes. I don't even know if I will get an interview within this year....

It was SF when I filed but I switched to San Jose in October when I moved and filed the change of address. Don't get frustrated so much in advance, I know a girl who filed in May and had her Ready status since July (SF office as well) and who just got her interview scheduled on December 31 in San Jose as well. SF is sending a lot of cases to Sacramento and SJ these days, so there's a chance you'll get yours much sooner than you think!

I am hoping my case will get transferred to Sacramento! Thank you for your words - it gave me a flicker of hope that I might get an interview by the summer (July will be a year since we filed). When you changed your address, did you face any difficulties with the process? I've heard horror stories of USCIS not changing addresses and interviews being scheduled at their old local office (which are sometimes in a diff state). Wondering how the process is for you. Also, did your priority/receipt date change when you changed your address? I think I might have asked you this before so I apologize if this is repetitive!
