Someone else asked same question last week.  VJ is just an website to help guide people through the process (and we would all be lost without it!).  The estimates are only that - best guess based on trends.   What actually happens is a whole different story and everyone just has to wait it out with USCIS 😤

its not quick

I found a copy of my wife’s 2018 form 1040, I’m pretty sure that is what they are asking for can you just confirm I’m correct on this?

That’s a 1040, not a transcript, buynypu are probably correct in that it would satisfy their request . Submit the 1040 but request the transcript from ssa

Okay thank you, I’m gonna submit a copy of the form 1040 today. I really hope that it’s enough.

Hey guys, just found this topic, I filed my AOS in early July and just received my EAD & AP approval this past week. I assume I also got an update in October saying that my AOS is waiting for a time slot for an interview, I guess its dependent on my field office? (Orlando, FL) which seems to be about a 10month wait minimum right?

I have the same question but mine is expiring in January :( .... Maybe we are getting a RFE for that...

We received that as well. I submitted a copy of the prepared taxes from 2018, 6 months of bank statements, and a letter of employment stating my salary.

I only submitted IRS transcript of 2018 + W2 and it seemed to be enough since we are now waiting on the interview to be scheduled.

I would submit a W-2 along with any 1040 you are sending. Anyone can write anything on a blank 1040.  I am not sure how much cross agency verification is done. That is why they prefer the transcripts.

Finally done...

For those of you who have completed the interview, can you tell us if you were requested to sign section 13 of the I-485 DURING THE INTERVIEW?    My wife signed in Section 10 before we mailed the document, but We rec'd a Call In Letter, and we believe it is because we did not sign this section of the I-485 during the interview.

We signed three or four additional docs. I do believe my wife signed this as well. The other docs were that we understood that she had to apply for ROC in two years and that she understood the policy on means tested benefits.

Finally done...
