Folks who haven't receive their 797 more than 20 days --

I talked to a 2-tier rep today and was told I need to email the lockbox support center lockboxsupport@uscis.dhs.gov

to inform them my 1) tracking number, and 2) check number (if it haven't been cashed) to request a receipt number. If your tracking information has a name of whoever received it, put their name on it too to help with the investigation.

So I emailed them again. I hope this time they respond to me! I emailed them last week but haven't heard back anything.

I also asked the rep about mailing my packet to them again -- he said give it till 30 days. If I still got nothing, I need to call them and cancel all the request and my check of course, and mail them the packet again.

@Mousey and @GeeRaf,

Looks like we are the only ones having the problem so far, and our mail delivered about the same time to lockbox support center. I wonder if in between the lockbox and USCIS someone ###### up and lost our packages (excuse my language as I am beyond furious with calling USCIS every single day without a response). I am literally thinking about sending another packet again on Monday and see if it will be processed. Let's keep in touch

GeeRaf, sorry about your husband's DL thingy. I went to DMV 3 times and waited 15 days to finally get my DL under K-1 because of some homeland security validation bullshit. Totally feel your pain. Hang in there and good luck to you! Like my husband said, you only have to go thru this once.

I am in the same boat.  Delivered on July 17th via USPS certified mail, and no response yet.  I had included the text and email notification with the package. I should add, I did make a mistake by sending it to the I-130 Chicago PO Box instead of I-485 Chicago PO Box.  I am not sure if that's the cause of the delay.  I have seen other people make the same mistake and they still receive their response in 1-2 weeks.  I also used a cashier's check instead of personal check.  I checked with the bank an hour ago, they say the check has not been cashed yet.

Same thing for me, I sent mine in on July 5th, considering the holiday I expected a delay but I wasn't expecting 26 days of waiting while it does seems to be normal with everyone on our month. Hopefully a much smoother process after this.

Did your check finally get cashed?

Sent an email again too! They never answered my first email. Sent my AOS July 13th and they got it July 15th but no noa1 yet :(

the same thing is happening to me, the first time we filled the AOS we received a rejection letter a month after we filled it. we did not receive any noa1. We fixed it

and sent it again on July 13th it arrived on July 15th but we have not received any noa yet. I called today and they said that they shouldn't reject the case again if we already fixed our problem. I don't know what to think or do anymore.

Ours has not. We used a cashiers check too. Now the bank is saying that we can’t cancel it for 90 days. I just don’t have another 1225 to put out like that. This is a nightmare.

Hey guys does anyone know the approximate time it takes for the i-765 employment authorization takes to come  ?  Or even how long the green card takes 😅 I'm really struggling with moving to the us personally, I feel kind of trapped , like I have no friends, I can't work or study, I can't do anything without someone else being available to drive me... It's hard.

I believe up to one year for some areas. If you have online skills: WP, data entry, writing, editing, etc, Upwork.com is worldwide and completely online. You should be able to register and work as if you’re in your home country. Also, if you’re into social media, documenting the process is always interesting and eventually profitable.

I wonder if they treat cashier's check differently than personal checks.  For personal checks, they use the routing number and account number and take the money directly without even going to the bank.

I haven't reached out to USCIS or the lockbox facility.  I will give it maybe another week before I panic.

I was struggling with these things as well.  Not being able to drive, have my own income, have US issued ID, very few friends...I didn't feel like a capable adult.  I joined a fitness club and am taking different classes several times each week.  It's helped me integrate myself into society at least a little bit.  I can't imagine how isolated those of us who don't have a good handle of the english language or this culture are feeling.

Finally some movement! Yes! We got text messages at 12:28 AM that the forms were received and we finally have a case number. Mailed on the 8 received on the 10.

That is great to hear - congrats.  My package was delivered 1 week after you so that gives me a week's time, hopefully, before I start panicking.  You mentioned earlier that your cashier's check hadn't been cashed yet.  When did you last check, and has it been cashed now?

We received text messages about an hour ago. I then checked online with the case number, everything was inputted in the system on the 12 of July and the check wasn’t noted until August 5. So based on everyone else, we should have fingerprints soon. I hope we haven’t missed it because of the cashier’s check.
