I was deported back to my home country right after my arrival in san francisco. They took my phone and searched through every chat. They found out that me and my boyfriend have intentions of getting married. Same day, i was sent back home. They didnt barred me, they just revoked my visa.

After that, we applied for a k1 visa and after exactly 3 months, we got approved. Do i need a waiver for my case? Or any forms because i was deported before? I just dont wanna present again myself to the airport only to crushed all my dreams of being with my fiance.

Thank you so much for all your advises. This will surely give me peace of mind. God bless you all

My petition was approved. I am from the philippines.

They will process your case normal and when you go for an interview they will see if you qualify for a waiver and your file will be put on hold until you obtain that waiver. Happened to me last year but for  total different visa than yours.

Being sent back home only because of immigrant intent isn't going to impact your K1 visa due to the nature of the visa. This would only be an issue if you were applying for another tourist visa and your circumstances stayed the same.

I had a same experience. I was on ESTA and sent back home at San Francisco Airport. After I came home, I applied for K1 visa and got approved.

You can check my timeline to read the visa interview review.

It doesn’t affect on anything when you apply for the K1 visa but it comes up when you fill out DS-260 and the visa interview.

As long as you tell the truth, you’ll be fine.

Agree with @payxibka to clarify... denied entry is NOT deportation.

No need for waiver. Proceed with K1 and if asked about that incident, but upfront and honest. Should not adversely impact you getting a visa.
