My fiancé and I received our case number from the nvc in March and our case status says ready online since May. My fiancé has not received any instruction packet and we have been emailing the embassy with no response. Are we missing any steps or do we just need to wait. Our petition approval is set to expire in July

When the case is sent to embassy,  you will receive instructions for the medical and 2 criminal reports ( a Fiche Anthropometrique and a Casier Judiciaire from the Central Police station at their place of residence.)

at the present time there are 3 drs in Casablanca for the medical

do not do any till told to do these as 1 criminal report is good for only 90 days and the medical exam is good for 6 months (that is the expiration date for the K1 visa)

 

you will also complete the I 134 and he will do the ds 160

currently the wait time after the case to casa is several months to be able to schedule interview

I am experiencing the same exact situation and no one here has given an appropriate answer. Can someone please provide detailed information about what happens after the NVC forwards the documents to the embassy in Casablanca? Does the embassy schedule the K1 visa interview? Does my fiance pay the k1 visa fee during the interview? They have ignored all my emails. If someone can please explain what happens next, I would be very grateful.

From my understanding from others you pay the fee at the embassy and as far as the interview the embassy will send you an email about the interview but they are very backed up and some people have waited up to 7 months for the interview I’m guessing the extend the petition approval because mine is scheduled to expire on the 21st of this month i would just continue emailing them on the automated system they have on their website

I hope your petition was approved! When did NVC forward your documents to the consulate? We've been waiting to hear since July.

Ours was ready at the embassy by the end of May and sent me the email with the appointment date by the end of September which was October 22  and they told my fiancé he was approved the day of the interview and a week later he got his visa
