Based on the pdf on the first page there is a cut off time for processing and that determines when you will be shipped out.  I believe the information given in the pdf is true because in my own experience I received my number the Thursday before shipment and did not make it and had to wait until the next shipment date.  Most of the time the information provided on the pdf's at the beginning of the forum is based on multiple people's experience and research about this process. If you read some of the post you will see that this has reign true for most on here.

Did you call back to see if you got a case number yet? I also got my number within 2 days of them receiving my case. (Mileage may vary. Every case is different)

I know you ready to move to the next step so you can be closer to being face to face with the one you love and you are almost there. Be patient ( I know its hard to) and prepare yourself for the next step by doing research. You soon will be together and don't forgot that you are moving a lot faster than some people have during this process.

Good Luck! October 1st  will be here before you know it.

Thank you I haven’t got a case number. I call they said they haven’t received it idk. When they send it how long does it take to get an interview? I’ll appreciate your response

Can you explain me all the shipping thing please I’m new here nao2 was 08/27

If you go to the very first page their is a PDF that helps you walk through this part of the process.

Once your case is approved then it is sent the NVC to be given a case number before being sent to the embassy.  At this time you have to wait until your case is received by the NVC. Most people will suggest you wait two weeks before calling the NVC to verify if they have your case or have assigned a number.  After the number has been assigned your case will be shipped to the embassy.

I hoped that help.

I can speak on interview times because that varies by embassies. I can only speak for my embassy. Sorry I can't help. You should complete your profile so people will know what country and they can help better. You can also look up your country's forum on here and get more detailed information regarding your embassy.

Good Luck

If you back and read other post you will see one from @Greenbaum that explains how to do it. If you notice how I have information under my name so people have some information about what country I'm filing with and my timeline link.

Woohoo! Our case number was assigned yesterday, 9/12/19! I called right now, 9/13/19 and received it. They asked for me to confirm the email they have on file so they can email me when it’s sent to the embassy. So, I’m a little confused. People are saying I will and people are saying I will not make the September 17th shipment, which one is true if the case number was assigned yesterday? What are the next steps from here? Thanks!

Not yet.  I tried to call yesterday but the hours changed from 9 to 9.  I should make the estimated Oct. 1 shipment.
