I Just called the nvc.  Wait times are 90 minutes if you call around 7pm est.

they said noa2 dates before 8/20 should be received.  The rest can take additional time.  I will call again on 9/11.

I called earlier today and I got yelled at for saying “oh” instead of “zero” while listing my case number and she made me repeat it with the zero 5 times, no exaggeration. Said my case wasn’t received yet and my NOA2 is 8/14. So hmm.

Yeah, the first time I called they were extremely nice (and knew what “oh” meant). I’m not sure what I did to get on this woman’s bad side... not much room for me to make a bad impression with a simple task like citing a number, but oh well! I’ll call again Tuesday. Do you think I should be concerned that our case hasn’t been received yet?

No. It can take up to 8 weeks.

We booked our interview date !!! Can’t wait to be done with this part of the process in November!🥳

How did you know when to book it?  Don’t you need to send paperwork first and let embassy tell you its ready?

It depends on the embassy and I can’t speak for all of them. But generally for some of the embassies (including Nigeria) after you receive your receive case number or your case is at the NVC you can go ahead and pay the application fee, complete the DS-160 and pick an interview date. Since our interview will be in November we have time to receive the p3(which is already on this site), complete our medical and police clearance! Hope that makes sense!

Yes thank you.  I emailed someone for albania embassy but I didn’t get a full response so i may have to wait until the embassy at least receives the case.  I have the P3 thanks to This site.

hello everyone ,,

at uscis website ,,it says I -134 is required at the time of filing adjustment of status once the beneficiary arrives in USA..

at travel .states website it says it required at the time of interview ,,

i know it is required at the time of interview , but just curious why the USCIS website says that?

I believe this picture is referencing the affidavit of support I864 not the I134.  That may be why you are getting conflicting information.

I just tried to call the NVC again and my case has not been received yet.

i have an NOA2 date of August 27 so if you are around my date, it may take a few more days or weeks before they receive it.  I will attempt to call back on friday.

I called them yesterday  and my case hasn't been received yet. My NOA2 on August 27th as well. Hopefully they receive it this week so we can have embassy ship date on September 17th.

They have to give it a case number by tomorrow in order to make that ship date. Most people waited almost a month before it was received by NVC. Then a couple of days to get be assigned a number.

I would suggest maybe calling next week. Good Luck!
