I have received below email from NVC , I am little worried . Please help

Due to the numerical limitations on immigrant visas, this petition is not eligible for further processing at this time. The National Visa Center (NVC) will keep this case until a visa becomes available.

Do NOT make any firm plans such as:

     - Selling property

     - Giving up jobs

     - Making travel arrangements

Please visit https://usvisas.state.gov/visabulletin for information on visa availability. Only a priority date earlier than the cut-off date listed is eligible for visa processing.

     - Questions regarding the Visa Bulletin may be submitted to visabulletin@state.gov.

     - If you would like to subscribe to our m

This is confusing. I believe you received this information incorrectly. Here is why I am saying this.

DOS publishes current immigrant visa availability information in a monthly Visa Bulletin. The Visa Bulletin indicates when statutorily limited visas are available to prospective immigrants based on their individual priority date.

  • The priority date is generally the date when the applicant’s relative or employer properly filed the immigrant visa petition on the applicant’s behalf with USCIS

So if you have a relative [who is a USC] where you are applying [this is like a parent or sibling] for a visa then this would be important to you. But since you are filing a K-1 visa to marry your Fiancée who is NOT your parent or sibling then you ignore this letter. Also, it applies to an employer who is sponsoring you for a work visa which you are not apply for.

Your timeline shows that you have received your NOA2 but when did this document arrive and is their a form number? I await your answer before I opine.

Yes, i just read it.  I followed the first step by filling out the form for nvc and will wait 10 days to call the NVC for the case number. I hope mine gets received sept 3.

Before you could ship out on 9/3 with the other packages to your embassy you would have had to have an approval by Wednesday of this week 9/28. I think you are looking more toward a 9/13 shipment date. Your mileage may vary.

I am wondering how much delay is expected , my shipment was expected for 3 sep does that mean it won’t be shipped now and should I continue filling DSi60 and book appointment else I should wait given this email

not sure if anyone else has received similar email in the recent past.

I believe you might want to jump in at this VJ thread and talk with others from India on this subject. Here is the link.

Quick question..  is it ok to SUBMIT the DS-160 even if we haven't yet received any email or communication from the Almaty embassy?

I know using the DHL trick that they received my packet in Almaty on Monday (8/26) and my NVC status is READY.   I have an idea what the instructions will be but I don't want to submit the form prematurely if they're still reviewing our case at the embassy.

  • Aug-13-2019 - NVC Case Number Assigned
  • Aug-20-2019 - Case shipped to Consulate
  • Aug-22-2019 - Case marked READY
  • Aug-26-2019 - Case arrived at Almaty Consulate per DHL

Hello to everyone!! I’m a new member and I was wondering if there’s people from Italy, that like me, are waiting for the NVC receive the k1 package from the USCIS too?

We got the NOA2 on the mail, the 24th of this month and we are very excited to hear soon from them.

Also, anyone knows how long it takes the NVC to process k1 visas for Italian beneficiaries?

Did you read the PDF from the first post in this thread for the answers to your question?

I've read it a lot of times already, thanks by the way its been a great help. Anyway I didn't read anywhere when exactly to file the ds160 but I guess I'll just wait for my case to get Ready just to be sure.

You can file your DS160 anytime after the case has been approved and you pay the required fees. I personally would suggest after you get the case number or that the NVC has received it because then you know for sure that your case is on the way to embassy soon. As long as it says ready before your interview date you will be good to go. You can also wait until after your case says ready. I think its up to you and then considering how long the wait is for interview appointments. Our country is hard to get dates so the earlier the better but every country is different.

Hope that helps.

I have a question about I-134 affidavit of support form. Hopefully I’m in right sub-forum. Will 2018 Tax return transcript from IRS website, 2018 W-2 and last 3 months of pay stabs will be enough evidence?

I would check your country's sub-forum and see what the requirements are. I would like to say yes but I think checking there would be your best bet.

I heard or read something from the PDF on the first page that you can do something, but I forgot exactly what it says. You might want to down load it again and read the part about completing the DS-160.

You must use the DS-160 confirmation number to complete the payment of the MRV interview fee.

The DS - 160 is a document that stands alone. It affects the completion for your MRV interview appointment payment. You can't use it to find any information about your case. You can't use it for anything other than for its original intent and that is for the CO to use during your interview to adjudicate your case. It does not need to be finished at the moment you receive your case number but does need to be finished before you can schedule your interview.

In most cases, each visa applicant, including children, is required to pay a non-refundable, non-transferable Machine Readable Visa (MRV) application fee, whether a visa is issued or not. The visa application fee is determined by the
type of visa for which you wish to apply for.

Manila US Embassy states that a scanned copy of the signed I-134 is fine, if you don't have the original.

I promise I looked at the PDF Greenbaum :)    I looked again and the only mention of the DS-160 I see is about collaborating online to fill it up (# 14).  I didn't see a mention of when it's ok to submit it.  I just want to know if I need to wait for the embassy to contact us (email or letter) before we click Submit.

This is my mistake and I though I had gone into more detail then what is there in the PDF. I am in the middle of updates for the PDF to insert the following information.

This was my error as I though that I had included the answer to the question but only a trick for the two of you to work on it together. Here is what will be updated in the PDF.
