JULY - AUGUST 2019 K-1 NOA2 to NVC

The ceac says our case is ready for our interview when scheduled. Does this means it is at the consulate and it is time to do the ds160/medical/I-134? I thought that NVC or the embassy would contact us when it arrived at the embassy?

I don't understand the first part of this statement. He was not bringing his son with him.

You do nothing for the son until he is ready to get his visa. Must be completed before 1 year has expired on mom's visa.

Somewhere in the slick PDF file from the first post of this thread it says something to the effect you schedule your interview but this is verifiable information that can be completed using the embassy website and the Russia sub-forum. It also addresses when you can do the DS-160, I-134 and other general information. Again, the PDF states that you shouldn't be asking specific questions for your embassy, something to do with being in the sub-forum where others from you embassy would have the knowledge for your embassy, not someone from the Philippines, Germany or Abu Dhabi. Just saying. Wow, and the other thing it states in that darn PDF is NVC does not schedule interview dates, BUT Russia could be one of those rare embassy's that have a different process from most of the embassy's. Wow this guy Greenbaum so smart and all he did is recommend over and over to access the PDF for instructions. I'm sorry you missed the 1,126th time he has posted READ THE PDF.

thank you when did they start this I thought NVC just give you a date.

They started this in 1969. Does it make a difference when they started it? It's what NVC schedules not when and NVC schedules CR-1 interviews and embassy's typically schedule the K-1.

What happens if my medical isn’t ready by my interview date? I set the interview date but the medical facility doesn’t have any appointments until 6 days prior to my interview date. Should I reschedule my interview?

You'll be given a 221(g) until it arrives at the embassy and you wait, and you wait and did I say you will wait some more before ceac.gov it starts to show movement.

You can reschedule but only to an "open" slot. Each embassy determines how many times you can cancel before you have to repay the interview fee and go to the end of the line.

Why are not in the Jamaican sub-forum asking these questions? Your done here, as we only take you to your embassy after that you should have already hooked up with the J Sub-forum. I know I have posted that information many times. Go back and search for the information.

I'm sorry you cannot take a joke. That's why we use emoji to indicate in some cases if it's a joke. My information is correct and it's there to help answer your questions even if you are lacking direction. And now that you have found out that you are in the wrong thread I will not be answering your questions.

Does the USCIS site get any further updates after receiving NOA2 or will all future updates be on CEAC?

I've updated my email at NVC, but assuming this doesn't work and I don't call to get case number, what is the normal means for communicating the case number?  Email, wait for P3, postal mail confirmation?

This is what I did, I waited a solid 10 working days after my NOA2 then I started calling NVC. Your best bet if you want your number is to call. They may or may not respond via email

@Greenbaum hey man. so i contacted embassy earlier and they got back to me regarding ds160 mistake. they said to fill a new one, which i did but haven't submitted yet. Do i have to update it on the CGI website too? i see that i am able to change personal info even after booking appointment, but if i change it is it going to affect the appointment date? Thanks a lot in advance.

I am so confused. When looking at the packet 3 @Greenbaumprovided by the embassy in Santo Domingo it says to complete a ds260 form however I see everyone writing on forums that they completed the ds160 form. Is there a difference?
