If you didn't get your case number until the 20th you are not on the shipment that day. As stated in the pdf on page 1, you need to have a case number by the Wednesday prior to shipment date. You should be on the next one.

@Greenbaum my fiancee had the wrong Year of birth for her mother. We used the same YOB on both i129f and ds160. File is already at embassy. i have contacted support india, but no response so far. Is it going to be a problem. i highly doubt but still wondering, or i have also read here that she should be able to change it at consulate. Thank You

That's not a deniable offense. Easy to fix at your interview. Stop! calling and emailing. It is not a big deal.

It's not every second Tuesday. I read in the PDF that it's every other Tuesday and you are right the last one was 8/20. You'll find the shipping dates in the PDF.

Hi I had a few questions I was wondering if someone could help me with regarding the ds-160.

My fiancé got a little excited, signed, and submitted he and his sons ds-160 but our case is still at the NVC, although we got out case number on August 21. 

Question 1: Do we need to contact someone to let them know it was submitted prematurely?

Also, after he submitted it I watched a few youtube videos about it and we realized he answered the final question about wether someone helped him fill out the form incorrectly on his sons. He put no when it should have said yes because he filled it out for his son (he's 3 years old). He also saw something after submitting it that said link account or add family group. He didn't know about that option before hand. He just filled out two separate ds160 form for he & his son. The issue I'm concerned about is how will we be able to set him up an account with the embassy, pay, and schedule an interview since he's a k2 if their accounts aren't linked. He's 3 so will his interview be on a separate day and time as his fathers? Maybe I'm thinking too far into it. any advice or information would help. Thank you!

and does anyone happen to know how to get a police clearance from the USA? I lived there for a year last year on a working holiday visa, so I'm assuming I'll need one. The country listing on https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Visa-Reciprocity-and-Civil-Documents-by-Country.html doesn't have the States listed for instructions on how to get one.

The US are not listed because you don't need one, they did the background checks themselves with USCIS no need for a police certificate 👍

Read the PDF. That's why I created it. To answer your questions. Then when you want me to. verify my answer I can say "read the PDF". The last entry in the PDF gives you every shipping date to the end of the year.

You do not need a PCC from the US. They have already run your name against any federal and state databases.

Make sure you figure out where the approved doctor is that can do his medical, I know on the South island the only one located in Christchurch... Better than Auckland when fiancée is in Dunedin but still XD

Important: Police certificates expire after one year, unless the certificate was issued from your country of previous residence and you have not returned there since the police certificate was issued. If at the time of your interview the following three items are all true, you must bring a new police certificate to your visa interview:

You are more than 16 years old;

The police certificate submitted to NVC was obtained more than one year ago; and

You still live in the country that issued the certificate.

Some have applied for their certificates now, because they needed one from Japan from a foreign exchange trip and they found out it will take 2-3 months.

 

If you find anything not up to date or the information is wrong, please share your findings. Please compare the date of the P3 of mine with the date from your copy, once you receive yours from your embassy. Keep in mind that I try and be factual with my information, but I can't do it on my own and that's where you come in and can give back to the community that comes behind you. Without others ahead of you I would not be able to provide this to you.  I can only share factual information if folks like you continue to be my eyes and ears for your embassy. Q1 - No, because once you have the case number and up to the time you score a interview date the DS-160 needs to be submitted.

Q2 - WOW. Did he mess that up. This is why I put a paragraph in about filling out forms together and who has to submit what. I ALWAYS recommend that the two of you work on the I-134 and DS-160 together to avoid just what you got yourself into.

 

If he started one for himself and then at the end it ask something to effect, do you have another (case K-2?) that will accompany you and you say yes then it populates your information onto the new entry and then you begin to complete a DS-160 for them and it happens again at the end of that form for any others, if so then yes and begin a new one for the 2 K-2.
