Good question @Regi I'm hoping to get an answer to this. I also want to add to the question about social media accounts.  If I stream youtube videos using my gmail on my android phone does it mean I have a youtube àccount/channel?

Oh, indeed, I have the same situation with YouTube, streaming using my gmail however I dont have a channel. 

But for this ok, I will mention my gmail, its better to add than to skip.

For Facebook I got the answer from some people that Name Surname (how it appears on your newfeed) should be indicated. 

Wondering about 2 accounts on Instagram (one of which I dont use since beginning of the year).

If no one answers,  i am going to add all dont have anything to hide )

Take your current DS-160 with the spelling error and discuss it at the interview.  This has been done many times before without a problem. The CO will make the correction their at the interview.

Mentioning the gmail account sounds like the smartest thing to do:)

I tried looking up my Facebook profile from another account using my full name and I kept seeing many profiles having my exact name lol. So I was thinking of making their job easy by putting the link to my profile? That is www.facebook.com/xxxxx.... 'xxxx' is your profile name/nickname (I think). I don't know if that makes sense. Or not, I'll just stick to using the name.

NVC case number and invoice number received 7/08 via Phone. Is there anything I need to do before my case get sent to the Embassy? Case status says “at NVC”! I haven’t sent them any documents or did the ds160. Should I send those documents to the NVC now and pay the visa Fee? Or my file will be sent to the embassy in next shipment ?

If I follow the instructions in the pdf on the first page of this group, you should be on the next shipment date to your local embassy, this tuesday. 

If you are on fiance route then you don't need to send NVC any document. The required documents are taken to the interview. You can do what most people do including myself start filling your DS 160 form on CEAC website.

Hello thanks for the information. I did went ahead and updated my information. The embassy is in Jamaica that my fiancé’ lives. Hoping to make Tuesday’s shipment. Can I complete the DS160 and pay the fee now? Thanks.

Each embassy is different about scheduling and paying the interview fee. Read through the materials and links below. DS-160 can be filed at any time now.

You are correct, that is your Facebook username (or account name) not your first & last name.

Hi everyone,

 

I see some people asking questions about the social media on the DS160, figured I'd pose one as well...

 

My fiance keeps his profiles pretty locked up (private mode on Instagram for example) and friends-only on Facebook. Just curious if there is any concern or issue on this? I think it's pretty normal that people that use social media also want to have a right to their privacy and who's viewing their content but also don't want it looking like he's hiding anything either. Any thoughts/recommendations/insights are appreciated!
