Approved this morning!!! I hope it made it the shipment to NVC.  We are fighting an aging out issue with my fiance's daughter in January.  Finger's crossed on that.  Super excited to be approved!!!  Best wishes to everyone still waiting.

Congratulations!! I hope I'll be getting some good news too this week

What was approved your NOA2? Case numbers are not approved they are assigned. So I am a little confused. If it is case number and was assigned today you won't be on the shipment till later in the month.

Yes, NOA2 was approved this morning.  Sorry, I was so excited about being approved, I forgot say it was the NOA2 that was approved.  I'm a bit back down to Earth now, aw later this month means holiday delay.  I can still hope.  Greenbaum, Thanks for all your input on this site!  It is extremely helpful!

Sounds like you have an uphill battle on your hands regarding the daughter's aging out. We didn't know if we were going to have the same problem with my stepson. The interview in Guangzhou went smoothly, their POE was a month later, we got married 4 days after their arrival. I had been preparing the AOS/EAD/AP packets, submitted them 2 week after their POE. They got their 2-yr GCs 6 months later, we made it.

We relied upon the VJ K1 Visa Flowchart to help guide us on what and which step to do next. The timeline is outdated, but the scheme the various steps is still quite useful: https://www.visajourney.com/content/k1flow/

Good luck on your immigration journey.

Completed: K1/K2 (271 days) - AOS/EAD/AP (134 days) - ROC (279 days)

"Si vis amari, ama" - Seneca

Thank you for your wishes and your story.  Seeing your timeline is helpful.  Getting this done for my fiance's daughter ages out is a long shot, but we have to try and hope.  Maybe we'll get lucky.  Her daughter has been going to school in the U.S. since 2015.  She will graduate next year.  So hopefully we can figure out a way so that she can stay after she graduates.  Thanks again for your well wishes and story.

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to all those getting their NOA2 approvals.

For those getting the mysterious question 4a RFE, please how did you respond to it?

1.) Did you have to refill the entire form all over again OR

2.)Did you just fill that page with the omitted tick box alone and submit

Just complete the form that they returned and do it honestly and you will be good to go. Simple fix.

It’s a different form then the original. It has the question and a yes or no check space and a line for you to sign and print your name that’s it.

She has her interview for it next week on 11/13. We're hoping it goes well. It's a unique scenario as she's on a work visa, but she has a colleague who recently got approved for one who's in a similar situation.

Update on this. My fiancée had her interview for a tourist visa this morning. Came prepared with bank statements, certificate of employment, letter from me, her work schedule for the next two months, resident status and was very prepared. Waited two hours and had a 30 second interview where all they asked is “are you visiting your fiancé in the US?” She said yes and got immediately refused, even though our app for the tourist visa stated we had a pending K1 and it was only for a week visit. Heartbroken right now. We can’t seem to catch a single break.

Why does she need a tourist visa. UK is a visa waiver country.

Day 113😫😟😧🤬

I feel you. We are just a week behind u at day 107 now. Feels pretty disheartening when you see August filers flying ahead. At this point I wouldn't mind an rfe, at least I would know its being worked on. Fingers crossed for us both!
