I think I can speak for most of the people still waiting from July here when I saw the impatience issue is due nothing being in order by time. Seeing people get approved on or near or after your date while you wait with no transparency is what makes us all impatient.

If every day was processed in order, I wouldn’t be impatient because I’d have a general idea of how far off my case was. But right now I have no idea if my case will be processed today, next week, 30 days from now or months from now. Plus seeing cases after yours get processed adds to unease and makes you feel left behind.

I empathize with everyone waiting here still and will continue to even after I hopefully get some news. It’s comforting to have a support system of sort of others here who are experiencing the same wait.

I understand. I wasn't downplaying how difficult it is to be in the dark while waiting.

I know. I’m mostly just venting as well.

The best coping mechanism we've found is to try and use the time as best we can.

We're currently both learning Japanese and are intending to go to Tokyo for our (extremely delayed albeit) honeymoon once the AOS has completed.  Things like this tend to help even when one of us is feeling down about the waiting time and also give us something to do together, but apart.

As @Greenbaum said, we're in a much better place than others were 6-12 months ago.

I hope that you get your Approval Notice soon!

By the way, if you don't mind me asking, you mentioned that your fiancée was going to apply for a Tourist Visa. How did it go?

Sometimes you just have to get it out.  I'm sure May and June filers feel the same when the new month approvals roll out.

I sincerely hope you get your Noa2 very soon.

No updates here.  Not really expecting any for some time but thank you.  It's the busy season at work so I am throwing myself into work and messaging my SO when I can.

She has her interview for it next week on 11/13. We're hoping it goes well. It's a unique scenario as she's on a work visa, but she has a colleague who recently got approved for one who's in a similar situation.

I called the USCIS and apparently we got approved yesterday (5th) ! 💜💜

O_O

No updates to either site. :(

Noa1: 08/02

Noa2: 11/05

I'm totally shocked I really thought we were going to have to wait 130 days or something.

I wonder if the way you compile and organise the application affects the approval time?

I two hole punched, front loaded, two hole clipped, binder clipped and then labeled each section on the bottom.

Congrats.

No the way you compile and organize the application doesnt matter.  They get to each one when they get to them
