Just kind of curious, after July 31st I did not see any noa2 approval. Was the office close or some kind of holiday?

Do you mean NOA1 dated July 31st?

There is a NOA1 dated August 1st that has been approved.

When they have started Aug now then what will happen about us July filets still waiting. Are we queued and ignored 🦋
A thought and query from a couple in queue on behalf of all queued couples

Have you read this?

It's dated but it's still an interesting--and rather relevant--read.

Interesting read. Although doesn't ease the mind to have confirmation that your case may be sitting on someone's desk who may be months backed up.

I would say that knowing that you are waiting your turn brings more comfort than the thought of being ignored (as the poster who I replied to was asking).

I think us July filers will worry when it gets to September approvals!

It's frustrating to see other same day filers who were approved in mid October (using the case number neighbor trick), but we're taking it as an opportunity to earn/save more money and to spend time with people.

The process can be frustrating at times. We have times where approvals came every 90 days. Then there were times that it inched it's way up to 6 months, then to a year. Those of you who are processing now should be happy with the time frame you are in as it wasn't but 6 months ago that it was taking up to a year or more for approvals. They moved manpower around and we began to see the turnaround times come down. This is a game of patience.

This.

Thank you for the reminder @Greenbaum!

It is worth to remember too that, in the grand scheme of the immigration process, 30, 60, 90 days isn't a lot. This whole process from the I-129F to ROC--and for some, Naturalization--totals, what? 5 years? That's 1,825 days.

Besides, if this feels unfair, just think of how the Adjustment of Status is. This is just a patience-builder.

Don't get me wrong, I hate not being with my fiancé too. There is nothing more that I want than to close the distance. However, I know that impatience isn't going to make the process go any faster.

I can attest to that. The turnaround times now are a walk in the park!

Let’s be honest though, once you’re together and married and living with your fiancée waiting for the AOS and etc isn’t really a patience thing compared to being long distance.

That's correct waiting now for the AOS is a piece of cake!

Yes, it is different. However, I was commenting on being patient vs. being impatient, not on waiting for your future spouse vs. waiting with your spouse.

Alas, to each his own.
