Received the paper copy for NOA1 today!! 🎉

I have to change my NOA1 date to 7/22/2019 from the text receipt date.

I'm assuming my case was transferred to the California Service Center since that''s where my NOA1 is from.

It feels good to have an official document in hand showing our journey to finally being together without separation is real!

May all of our cases be processed quickly and easily in Jesus name, amen!

AMEN!

Hello All! I received text NOA1 on July 22! So excited can't wait to get in NOA2.  Hopefully it won't be the full seven month wait, anyone here have a fiance in India?!

Pssst! If you look in the left hand column and you see an India flag that's a good sign they are petitioning their fiance from India. ;)

I know it will be a while before the DS-160 comes into play, but I like to prepare ahead of time.

My fiancé had an approved ESTA when we arrived from the UK to Detroit Airport June of this year. They separated us as soon as they heard the word fiancé and then refused him entry. They thought we were coming to the US to get married, him to work, and told him that if he would've had a K-1, he would've let him in. They sent him back home with an INA Section 217 R38024, which I know is for the ESTA. However, we're not sure what to answer on these questions. I've already done research and can't find the answer. Any help is appreciated.

Hey y'all, new user to this website. My fiancé and I (I'm the Petitioner) have not submitted our petition just yet but we are practically done and ready to go - just waiting on the passport photos and finalizing the form itself. Now question, would this be the forum to post any questions/doubts I have about the packet or form itself? We're preparing everything ourselves and the government website is so vague - I'd hate to lose out on the expensive filing fee because of a mistake or oversight. 😓

Goodness, thank you so much! I have quite the handful of questions so bare with me everyone.. I won't post them all at once to save y'all the trouble of a wall of text lol.

In regards to Part 1 and the "Other names used" section of the I-129F form, I do have a nickname “Jackie” (full name is Jacklyn) that I wasn’t originally going to include on the form but I recently just decided to include some convention tickets that have both our names on them as evidence – only my name is registered as Jackie Garcia on the tickets. I’m assuming it’d be best to put my nickname on the form then?

Yes I would include  your nickname since some of your evidence is quoting your nickname. Is your nickname official  do you use it constantly? Do you use it in offical circles? If you answered  yes, then it would be wise to list it on your  I-129F.

Welcome to where your questions are answered but maybe not the answer you were hoping for. :D. Were glad to help you anyway we can. To help you there is a good guide for your application here in VJ. Go to the blue ribbon at the top of the page and click on guides and look for K1 filing.
