You're not that far away. It's 10 days. Not that it matters at this point, but I took several weeks assembling the paperwork to ensure we had everything covered, then wonder ugh why did I take so long lol.. I could've been an early July or late June filer.. then I think, I rather the way I did it than doing something incorrectly and receiving an RFE for sure due to rushing.

It does suck to see other filers receive their NOA2 prior to 90 days, but I've seen that several May and June filers are still waiting as well.

That's true. We did take several weeks to ensure that the paper work was done correctly and everything covered. At this point I am not very optimistic about 10 days but taking it in strides I suppose. You guys really do help with me feeling antsy.

yes may and june still waiting.  And that feeling of life being on hold doeant get easier. Cant make long term plans as you just dont know.  It is frustrating.  All I suggest is try not to think on it too much.  Focus on the little things and the good in the day and if all else fails.  Throw yourself into work.  Lol

I realized. But they are now doing interviews too.

Yeah and it feels impossible that we'll be doing interviews within 2 months now :(

I wasn't counting on the interview taking place prior to end of year... I was assuming sometime in January? Possibly end of January

Even the work part. There is so much to get done in that regards and for January I have a course to teach at the local University and I am not sure if I should do or not. For now I say I am doing it because i dont know what is happening with this wait. Plus I dont want to feel bad about the execution of the Census 2020. The longer I am here the more responsibility I will get and if I have to leave in the middle of it then I will feel horrible. But you're so right, I need to not think about it too much.

For the first time since last night I did something I haven’t done during this entire process which has been to constantly check. I’ve been fortunate to visit my fiancé twice (August & September & returning in 3.5 weeks) after submitting the petition...

last night I read someone write that they checked petitions on the site with numbers before and after theirs...  so I did the same (bad idea!!) and the petition number before mine was showing on the site as “case has been received” and the one after mine was approved on Oct 9th ....and today at work... the one before mine was approved today... I was truly bummed.. bummed because the petitions before and after mine were approved and mine was sitting at “received” .... then I had to remind myself that I’ve been patient this long and perhaps the anticipation of it perhaps being this week truly got to me..  I told myself that I’d be patient and enjoy the process and the past 2 days have been  torture with my constant website checking ... I just need to remind myself that we will receive it...  ok vent over lol..

Jumping in this thread maybe it can help some of you , we are may filers , we were lucky to receive our noa2 in just under 90 days, however you can't rely on the USCIS website completely to track your case. We received our Noa2 in the mail but the USCIS website never updated and still shows our case as "received"when it's in fact at the embassy now. So it might update , or not ..!

This happened to someone else I saw and they got no notice until it was at the embassy.

Thank you for the information. :) What about when you call? Is that information accurate?

You're welcome, it happens more often than we think I believe.. We didn't try to call USCIS as we ended up receive the mail pretty quickly, but I heard from other people in May filers who called that sometimes the uscis officer told them that it was approved (even if the website didn't update). If you're lucky enough to get someone on the phone you could try and see what they say..:)

I called earlier today. They were no help. Just said it “takes up to seven months to process”

😕

I would wait a bit though before calling , it still seems very early and within normal processing time. I understand the anxiety completely though.
You may get a surprise in the mail box anytime
