Hi all, I am posting for the very first time. We are at 67 days in and I am a bit on edge but patiently waiting. I would love for everything to be approved before the Christmas holiday since we dont want to spend christmas apart. Sigh this is the most anxious I have been since our NOA on 07/25...

Hi Angel ..

- I sincerely hope you are right and I keep my fingers crossed for you.

let me give you my most optimistic view from my perspective- looking at the processing times...

Expected NOA2 around 25 October 2019

  • 2-6 weeks

Expected CR 11 nov 6 Dec 2019

  • 6 Weeks

Visa Interview 16 Dec - 16Jan 2020

Visa validity  (6mth) 22 Dec - 22 June 2020

I hope x-mas will come early for you and your loved ones this year ...

Were on the same day as well. Hoping for an approval by Christmas. A mid October NOA2 could optimistically lead to being at the NVC by mid November and then an early December to mid December interview. Fingers crossed. This is by far the hardest part not know if our NOA2 could come tomorrow or in a month

Thanks for that update...Keeping hope alive that it happens early. I do feel bad about work commitment as well with the upcoming census and playing an integral part in the planning. That's another reason why I would like this to be over with before the new year begins.

Officially at the point where people after me are getting approved lol. I know it’s out of my control but was hoping to hear something, anything, even an rfe by now. Might have to sign off here for a while so I don’t obsess or compare myself to anyone else’s case anymore.

Hello all,

So we recieved our Noa2 on Oct 3rd and I have a couple of doubts.

1) Is there like a link or a page in VJ where I can view a list of the documentation we need to prepare for the interview?

2) I read people saying that we can start calling the NVC in around 4 weeks. Once we get the case number,  can I go ahead and do the medical, fill in my Ds160 and book my interview slot?

3) If I get an interview date maybe in like a month, and I still dont get the packet 3 from my embassy, what do I do? Do I rebook the interview?  Or packet three /the call letter isnt necessary in the Mumbai Embassy?
