The only information you need is the P3 letter which I shared with you. In the first instuctions it states to complete the DS-160, upload a copy and schedule your interview. See below. This is straight from your P3.

1. DS-160: You need to complete the online application form, DS-160 for each applicant included in the case. The Consular Electronic Application Center can be accessed directly through: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/. We cannot initiate processing of your application until the electronic form has been uploaded. Please send a copy of the confirmation page with the barcode.

Q1 - Follow the directions in the P3 letter. See "Second" below.

Q2 - See Third below - This information comes directly from the P3. Please follow as all your questions are answered there.

Q3 - See my first paraghraph.

SECOND
Pay the application fee/Schedule appointment. Once we provide you authorization to schedule your appointment for the visa interview you must register in the web page https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ES/iv to pay the fee and select the post office for correspondence. There you will be able to select an appointment date and time. For assistance with registering, payment or scheduling, you may call: from Spain: 91-123-8866; or, from the United States: 1.703.543.9306.

THIRD
Arrange for your medical examination. Visa applicants are responsible for scheduling their own appointment for a medical examination before the scheduled interview date with the approved panel physicians. You should note that the medical examination is only valid for six (6) months and the visa validity will be limited to the validity of your medical exam. Our approved panel physician is listed on our website at https://es.usembassv.gov/wp- content/uploads/sites/260/2017/04/Instructions Medical Exam 0916.pdf. You must print the letter on the website and take it to your medical appointment. DO NOT SEND THE MEDICAL EXAM; BRING IT ON THE APPOINTMENT DATE.

Thank you for the breakdown! We continue steadily moving along and I have some follow up questions.

1- We have completed the DS 160. I have printed the confirmation page for him to take to his interview. Now, you have mentioned submitting it somewhere... did you just mean completing it on the website itself or where do I need to upload and send this form?

2- I have since tried scheduling his interview but it says the case is not ready yet. I want to confirm that this is probably because it hasn't arrived to the Madrid embassy yet from the NVC? I thought they sent on Tues/Wed and so per that it should be there by now... OR is it because I haven't submitted the DS 160 somewhere?

3- Now I am second guessing myself all over again... do we need to submit all the paperwork I am collecting for the interview first via mail? Because it is Spain? Do you think I should just wait to get the letter confirmation from them and go from there? I know I'm trying to expedite a complicated process. My fiance leaves back to Spain from visiting me tomorrow and I am trying to make sure he goes with originals and as much original  paperwork as possible.

Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!

1- We have completed the DS 160. I have printed the confirmation page for him to take to his interview. Now, you have mentioned submitting it somewhere... did you just mean completing it on the website itself or where do I need to upload and send this form? Submitting to the website and in return receiving the confirmation to use at the interview. So yes, he must have the confirmation page with the barcode for the CO at the interview. Scan and email is fine.

The case must be received and checked in to the embassy at which time you will see ready. There are two ready conditions the first is the electronic file being received and the second is the physical paper case file being received. Both have to happen for you to schedule your interview. Give a few more days.

Here is the simple rule; for the interview the petitioner submits copies the beneficiary presents originals. Of course, there are those rare occasions that the CO wants a particular document as an original from the petitioner but that is very, very, very rare.

Thank you again!!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome. Are you in the December NOA2 to Embassy thread. If so there are lots of tools in a PDF file that I posted a link to in the first post on page 1. Download and use.

For DS160 to scan and email where? I have the printed to bring... but where am I sending the scanned copy?

Good thing I asked about the paperwork to turn I will be sure to have an exact copy of what we are bringing to the interview & submitting before hand depending on what our embassy asks for.

Don't go overboard with tons of "stuff" as the CO will only interview for 5 min tops unless of course there are any problems that are uncovered during the interview which most don't face that kind of scrutiny.

Then that is your answer. You have to continue to give it some more time. Call every other day for your updates. You should hear something this week as there is a shipment going out next week.

When you answer someones reply, please use the "quote" link below their entry so they know you have replied to their post. I did that for you and now you will have an idea that I have responded. Not doing so does not alert me to your reply.

I just called NVC again and they stated that my Petition was in the building on 11/26 but has been scanned in on January 2. Its been 12 days when should I start being concerned?

Never. Trust the process. It's taking a little longer but I see nothing unusual or concerning at this point. Continue to check back with NVC but ask to speak to a Tier 2 agent as they have more access to dig further on what is happening. Those that answer the phone are Tier 1 and they can't see much of your file from their side.

Hi all,

We received NOA1 on Aug 15 2019 and it was sent to California service center. We have not heard anything from them since. According to the VJ timeline, a lot of people who filed after us have received NOA2 already. Should I be concerned? Should I give USCIS a call?

Thanks a lot in advance.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Here is a tip. Don't compare yourself with others as each one of you are different. Each has a different background, each have a different country, each have a different family each has..... I think you get the picture.

They are working on August, September and some October. You are still in the processing window so I wouldn't worry. Processing times are posted on the website for USCIS and you can follow along with timelines here on VJ. Keep in mind that these are all estimates and based on the input of the members of VJ. Some keep up with their timelines others do not.

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/

We need a little housekeeping on your end. Many of our answers are predicated on the information you supply in your profile. When we look at the left column and can't determine your timeline OR your Embassy it's hard for us to give you a factual answer. Our answers will sometimes be tailored to a specific Embassy hence the reason for you to complete your profile. If you look at the profile of others here, they have a flag for their country, so it makes it easy for us to reply as we can quickly determine their Embassy. The country that should be used is the country where the interview will take place.

So, if you could help yourself out and complete your profile that sure would help us out when we want to reply to your question with factual information.

Go to the top right of this page select your name (it's on the upper right-hand corner)>my profile>[below your picture on the right column] edit my profile. Scroll to the bottom and fill in "Immigration Info". There now we can better serve you.

Once you finish that then return and you will see a flag in your profile. Select it and see what wonderful information will open up for you.

Thanks

Yes! Lol I should have specified. I sent an I-129F right after submission of my I-130. This thread is of no use to me anyways.. my version of the 129F falls under a slightly different timeline. Thanks anyways 😃

SO I am a bit worried at the moment. I was re-reading the NOA2 first month form and in section 8  https://drive.google.com/file/d/1nfin98c33IEpB0T0FlURERriblYmlm5O/view it gave another website to track the case... I have no idea how I have missed this until now. I plugged in our case number and this has come up. It says "Please follow the instructions you received from the National Visa Center (NVC) that list the six steps you must take before NVC can schedule your visa interview appointment. This includes submitting to NVC various fees, forms and documents. Once NVC has received all the required items, they will let you know if anything is missing or incomplete. You can also find these instructions online at http://nvc.state.gov (English) and http://nvc.state.gov/espanol (Spanish). You will find contact information for NVC at http://nvc.state.gov/ask."

I click and get this. https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/after-petition-approved/begin-nat-visa-center.html . It says specifically to go there once we receive a letter and we haven't yet. I got my case number on Jan 3rd. Our case is going to Madrid, Spain. Have I been sitting on my butt wasting my time since the 3rd!? Should I go through these 6 steps now?
