My NOA2 was on 7/09, I called NVC twice after that, my case is not there yet. Is it normal?

Also, there is no update regarding the approval of I-130 on USCIS website, neither one (regular and 2-step verification) reflects the update,  not even Case Tracker. No emails or SMS ever received, either.

If not for the snail mail USCIS letter as notification of NOA2, I’d thought the approval never happened and it’s just my sick imagination 🙄

Same here. Mine was approved on 07/13. No updates on both account, still says case received 🙄. From timelines, I see last week of June NOA2 were sent to NVC.

Does she need to get a joint sponsor?

If YES, what else do we need to submit when we replace the REJECTED I-864Ez form?

According to the NVC site, the i864EZ is only for people who are sponsoring based solely on their w2 based income. If it is retirement income, i believe it’s one of the other i864 forms they have. They list on the website which one is the correct form to fill out according to each persons situation.

The uscis website will update your case status when it has been sent to the NVC and it will list the date it gets sent. It takes about 2 weeks for them to send it, another week or two for NVC to receive it, and then another 3-8 weeks for them to enter the case into the system and assign it a case number.

please read the wiki Saylin wrote on the NVC process here. Once you're done, read it one or two more times to really understand it ;)

Thanks for creating this thread. I'm sure you realize that the wiki above was created 5 years ago and hasn't been updated for over 3 years! While some generic info may still be useful, other procedures and requirements may be outdated.

Hey m8, May I ask where do you track timelines? Is there a page that shows everyone's timeline as their paperwork moves from USCIS to NVC? Thanks

That is what I am thinking as well, hopefully that actually happens. However, I remember seeing screenshots of people posting here with the status changed. I just want to make sure that Nebraska sends the petition and I am not wasting mine and their time by calling them.

You can see it here

https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/k1list.php?op6=Nebraska+Service+Center&op66=All&op7=All&op1=b&op2=&dfile=No&op3=5&op4=1&op5=5%2C6%2C8%2C10%2C11%2C13%2C14%2C15%2C16%2C17%2C18%2C20%2C21%2C22%2C25%2C26%2C27%2C28%2C108%2C110%2C111%2C208%2C210%2C211&cfl=

Play with the filters. I have seen Nebraska sending NOA2 from last week of June. Nothing for July filers.

Thanks, this is good information. I was wondering if Nebraska had started transferring cases for July filers with NOA2 yet..and it doesn't appear so.

Well our journey is finally over.  We were approved at the interview last Tuesday and the visas were listed as Issued on Thursday.  We are just waiting on the email from the delivery service and all three should be in the States next week.

Congrats!

I called NVC today since it has been over 3 weeks since I submitted my documents. A very nice man told me that they are running a few days behind their goal of 3 weeks to review documents. He escalated my case to a supervisor since it has been longer than that. I submitted on 7/4, just in case anyone has a similar timeline.

Sorry to hear it’s stuck in processing especially after waiting to get your case number :( Hope it updates quickly so you can submit documents.

I’m not sure why it’s taking so long to receive my case number. This Thursday will be 7 weeks, which is still within the 8 week window, but when I call the NVC they say my case is in administrative processing and can’t tell me what that means.
