Anyone is submitting their documents on Email too?

My question is when I resubmit, should send a new email or should I send a reply to the original email that i sent.

And should I only send the missing/corrected document, or should I also send the cover page that has the code of my case.

What did you guys do??

Yes, it will! Yours too?

Yes, for my husband and his CR1. When is your interview be expected? For us it is probably in November -December we hope as the NVC stage has just begun for us.

I asked the question in the Europe sub forum, but no answer there: Does Paris Embassy allow petitioner to be present at the interview ? And also, is it true that if a document is in French language, no English translation is necessary ?

I don't know yet for the interview. I just got DQ last Week so I'm waiting for the interview date now.

I can let you know as soon as I hear from that. It doesn't look like there is many people on the forum that had their interview recently because I could not find many information on the average time between DQ and interview. I hope to get my interview by september to be able to go to the US beginning of October. Some of the medical center we have to go to are closed in August so I assume next month will be pretty slow.

I saw your question on the sub forum but I don't know the answer, did you try emailing the Paris embassy? I would think you can but I Don't know for sure.

And yes, as long as you do your interview in France (your husband in this case), you can have the paperwork in French. So no need to translate the Birth certificate, the casier judiciaire, and all of that french stuff!

still waiting, re-submitted 6/24 and have asked for supervisor escalation 2 days ago. I guess some are lucky and have received their DQ, it's just very random when NVC reviews the cases on the queue.

Good luck and I hope you hear back from them soon.

I Submitted my documents on July 10th and got a request to resubmit a document on July 15th.

I have a theory that it is not random how they review the cases. Maybe priority date plays a role. My priority date is June 5th 2018.

We waited for 11 months (no RFE) to get approved by USCIS while other people got approved within 6 months.

But it's only a theory.  I don't know if it could be true.

I thought about it because priority date is mentioned in all the emails that I am receiving from NVC.

What do you think??

Today I called the NVC to inquire about the case number and was told there is no case number because this can take up to 8 weeks (I am at week 4) and that the case is under 'administrative processing' (AP).

I've seen a lot of scary information about this term thrown around on VJ, but nothing I could find suggested this was a possibility for a CR1 awaiting case number assignment. I asked if the operator could clarify about the AP and what that meant, but she said I just need to wait until they are done processing it and give me a case number and that I am within the 8 week mark.

For clarification, I have not submitted any fees/documents to the NVC yet. I am simply awaiting a case number.

Could anyone shed some light on this?

I got my case number after a wait of almost 3 months since NOA2. A few people here have a similar experience. But mostly they roll out case numbers sooner than that. Normally within 1-1.5 months.  So far, you are within the normal processing time.

Thank you -- I have heard this before but I just wanted to make sure due to the operator's use of the term AP. So you think when she used this, she was simply saying I'm just waiting to be assigned a case number as per usual (nothing out of the ordinary)?

That's what I gather from it. But I would suggest you call them again if you don't get case number within 8 weeks and be sure to ask them if they have your case entered in the system. I remember waiting for some more days since the rep informed us that they have entered it in the system. They might already have yours in the system. If so, you will get case number within one or two weeks.

Wow! That means my theory is wrong!

Thanks for letting me know and I hope you get approved soon. It must be frustrating to wait that long!

Good luck!
