There are two different estimates. One for case creation and another for review of documents. I am also waiting for my case number but my case wasn’t received until June 26th so if you still haven’t got yours that means it isn’t looking to good for me. I called this morning and they said they cannot see the website estimate and that it can be up to 8 weeks from the date they received it.

Thanks for the heads up — didn’t know they couldn’t see the website estimate. Wish there was a faster way through this but I guess we just have to wait! Best of luck to you, hope you get your number soon

Oh, I think I misunderstood the metric on their website then. It’s confusing that it’s under case file creation? Are you positive that’s only for working on cases with NVC docs submitted? If so, I’ve been thinking about this all wrong!

I’ve called in a few times and sent a email inquiry to NVC — no case number.

Thanks!

I apologize, I have never seen that metric. I thought you were referring to this one... Disregard what I said

Not a problem at all — I didn’t know there was a current case review time!! Also good to know as I get further in the NVC process :)

Yes I wish you speediness as well! Can I ask, have you called to check on your status or are you just waiting for an email and/or letter in the mail?

Since my I-130 tracking reported leaving USCIS, I've been calling the NVC to check my status, simply because: 1. I am impatient (haha) and 2. Because some VJers actually reported never receiving a letter or e-mail, so I want to make sure I stay on top of things. I e-mailed them an inquiry at one point too, but no reply (and I've heard those can take awhile to get a response).

How many days it took for you to get CC?

After submitting documents it took me a week, then got one doc rejected so re uploaded and they asked for one additional doc so uploaded that too. Took week again and all docs accepted

It can take 15-20 days for mail response

by that time our question itself dies

So i submitted all of the documents on June 25, so today it hits 3 weeks mark. I called nvc to ask what happened that i did not hear anything yet, they said, i should wait till midnight, and if still i dont hear anything, i must call them tomorrow, so they will talk to the supervisor to speed up.

Can I ask how you paid your fees without a case number?

Today I received an email says that my case is DQ. But when i login Ceac i can see the the applicant civil document is incomplete. The police certificate showing missing although it is already accepted before.

And in the messages only message that my case is DQ.

Did anyone have the same experience?!

I think someone has experienced the same and it could be some error with the system. It's better to call them just to be sure.

when  did you submitted?
