How the Visa Number allocation system works. After reading this doc I am fairly certain that FB applicants are being prioritized to minimize wastage of numerically capped visas.

We all can do your wild guess...but we will find out in 2 weeks that if Mumbai do go ahead with CR/IR IL or they do some dumb stuff to piss us more...

I don't know whether it will be just 2 weeks. If you look at the history of CR/IR IL releases from Mumbai, it's always been about 1x a month. This month at least some people (even though they were very few) in CR/IR categories got their IL on July 19. Last few months have been:  Jan 8, Feb 14, Mar 13, April 16, May 9 and June 21

This makes me concerned that the next update from Mumbai consulate may not be till 3rd week of August :(  I hope I am wrong though; I filed my original IR-5 case on June 2, 2018 and have been waiting in CC status since April 29, 2019

That's my guess, I could be completely wrong. However, in some cases, after the interview consulates do issue 221G requiring additional background  checks (mantis).

Yes I think they do background checks at all three stages - USCIS, NVC and at the local embassy. But wouldn't NVC do the checks BEFORE marking the case as 'documentarily qualified' and putting it the queue for interviews? Seems weird to me that they will do this afterwards and then also not tell us that we were in administrative processing.

I know we are all just speculating and will never truly understand what's going on 😕

I’m feeling so many emotions

Excited

Happy

Overwhelmed

Nervous

However I know it’s already been done .

At this time I ask everyone to keep my husband and I in your prayers . This journey has been long ,sometimes heartbreaking and expensive. I’m ready for the next chapter in our lives .

Goodluck! Remember the day you wanted this to come fast. I hope your husband is well. Also, did you mean June 25 for IL?

Is your priority date current if so.. I'd wait.. because that's what your going to get told anyways. It don't always work out to be 90 days . Sometimes the embassy is back up or understaffed. Gave you gone to checked out portals on here for your country. Sometimes they have an estimate. If it's Mumbai join the line. Alot of ppl waiting on that embassy.

Agree.. waiting for it to come and then your more stressed and worried about the actual interview then all the other #######.  Both me and my husband are not sleeping good. It takes a toll on a person.
