Everybody goes through administrative processing (AP). It means they are working on your case. If they gave you back your passport that usually is not a good sign. Them giving it back to you may mean they anticipate the AP may take longer than expected to reach a decision.

There is nothing more you can do. Only wait until a decision is made.

If if a few months have passed and you have not heard anything. You can start inquiring about the status of your case.

Just wanted to add that Morocco is one of the tougher embassies recently so this isn’t surprising to hear.

Good luck to you

If you receive a 221g after the interview it can be void of a request for additional documents or it may have a list of required documents that must be returned to complete the adjudication of the visa. From what the OP states their were no requirements to return documents hence they will be in waiting till such time as the case is finished.  As stated Morocco is a difficult embassy to process through and we have generally seen 3 to 6 months delay and sometimes more.

Unfortunately, you are in the waiting game.  There is really nothing you can do...other than wait patiently until the consulate contacts you or your fiance.  The fact that the consulate officer returned your passport is concerning.  In my opinion, they either expect an extended administrative processing period, or they have doubts about your case.  I would lean toward the former since extended AP is common for your consulate.  Either way, it is important for you to stay aware of the online status.  Hopefully, you will see "issued" very soon.

I had a look at the OP's prior posts and have no idea which game he is in, AP covers a variety of situations.

Why didn't you mention this in your initial post?

221 g color of the paper?

not keeping the passport is not good so expect to hear in months that the case is returned to the US as this is a K1 and most are denied

If you are lucky and they say come for new interview,  it will be months from now (some are still waiting in AP since December 2018)

sorry i am less than comforting but in the 10 years i have been reading VJ,   this is what we see

So,  hope you have thought about marriage in Morocco and doing a CR1
