Specific Instructions Line 58 Unreported Social Security and Medicare Tax from Forms 4137 and 8919 Enter the total of any taxes from Form 4137 and Form 8919. Check the appropriate box(es). Form 4137. If you received tips of $20 or more in any month and you didn't report the full amount to your employer, you must pay the social security and Medicare or railroad retirement (RRTA) tax on the unreported tips.

I don't see it applying to the OP. One of the following has to apply:

  1. You are working for an American employer. OP is not.
  2. You perform the services on or in connection with an American vessel or aircraft.  OP is not.
  3. You are working in one of the countries with which the United States has entered into a binational social security agreement (also known as Totalization Agreements), and the agreement provides that your foreign employment is subject to U.S. social security and Medicare taxes. Yes, there Is an agreement in place, but she paid in to National Insurance. Generally, under these agreements, you will only be subject to social security taxes in the country where you are working.
  4. You are working for a foreign affiliate of an American employer under a voluntary agreement entered into between the American employer and the U.S. Treasury Department. OP is not.

That only applies to people who were supposed to pay Social Security or Medicare and didn't.  The OP is not one of those people. (See previous post).

You will cut off a significant amount of visa processing time plus the NVC hassles if you file the petition to London USCIS while still resident in the UK. Then you can leave while your husband finishes up getting his visa.

You will need to fill out an affidavit of support which is going to ask for your tax return information for the three most recent years. That is your most immediate concern. Most likely you owe zero in US taxes if you worked strictly for a UK employer. But you have to provide the documentation of reporting (then excluding) that UK income on three US tax returns for your immigration affidavit of support.

Did you work in the U.K.? And did you earn at least $12,000 (in US dollars) in a year?

I'm not moving back to the states with a job. I have some solid leads but nothing set in stone. I wonder if I'll have enough time to secure a job before the sponsor information is required. No one can joint sponsor him, it's just me. Any hints or ideas?

I answered in your other thread. You have no set deadline. You pick when to go to medical and interview if you go the DCF route.  Yes you will have time.
