Congratulations to everybody receiving approvals!! I wanted to ask for your advice: I plan to file for citizenship by mid-June, however I have heard that it is possible to do it online. Would you recommend this?

My friend filed online last year, she said it’s pretty easy. My window opens mid July I will do it online as well. Prepared all Items on checklist for n400.

I'm planning to do it online too, sometime in July. From what I've read in the citizenship sub forums, use Internet Explorer/Edge to avoid certain glitches when uploading evidence/documents.

I received today that my approval is past DUE, lol))) Should I send it to USCIS and inform them?😆

Looks like it’s not reliable at all...

Got an update about 30 minutes ago that New card is being produced.

VSC. Filed late July 2019 and had biometrics in first week of Sept. Status never changed until today. Went straight from Case was Received to New card is being produced. It was quite a surprise..

Just saw through USPS Informed Delivery email that An is getting a letter from USCIS today. Nothing has updated on the website (old or new) since biometrics back in November. I'm suspecting an interview letter? Either an approval or a RFE would definitely update on the site, correct? Seems like when we've gotten interview letters before, there was no update. LIN service center.

I find it doubtful that it’s an interview notice with everything going on. How accurate is your timeline? It says you haven’t had a biometrics appointment, so it could either the that, or a letter stating that your old biometrics will be used instead of requesting new ones.

Definitely keep us updated though, I’m curious.

She did biometrics in November; guess I didn't update that.

Turns out, it's a letter saying that they made some kind of mistake; it says a review of records shows that she was "incorrectly admitted as, or adjusted to, a CR6. You should have been admitted or adjusted as a CF1. You should be receiving a new Form I-551, Permanent Residence Card with the correct immigrant classification."

After a little Googling, it seems that CR6 is permanent residence for spouses (already married before immigration), and CF1 is permanent residence for those who entered as fiances (which she did). I'm just wondering what this will do for our whole timeline...will it set everything back? I'm assuming this new green card she will be receiving will just be the conditional green card again, right? But it least it should have the 18 month extension date on it, vs. having to use the extension letter (I'm assuming/hoping?)

But even so, she is able to apply for naturalization within like a week...so the timeline for all of that shouldn't be affected at all, right?

Thoughts?

That's pretty strange! I don't imagine it will have too much of an effect on your application(s), after all it was their error.

It sounds like they're just going to send you a CF1 green card that has already expired... (the same dates as your current one).

You might want to make a post elsewhere/search if it happened to anyone else.

Keep us updated!

Well, that’s certainly not what I was expecting. My best guess is that it won’t really have an impact on your timeline at all. Your AOS was still adjusted normally, just categorized incorrectly.
What I’m hoping is that this notice means that someone is actively looking at your case, otherwise it probably would have gone unnoticed.

Best of luck and keep us in the loop!
