Just wondering... Who else here is on track to file for citizenship some time near July? Most of us?

I will be. They are proposing a lot of price hikes so hopefully I file before that happens!

That's the only reason I'm in a hurry to apply as soon as I'm eligible.

What is the difference in price?

If we apply for citizenship before we get the 10y. green card is the process going to be extended? Meaning we won't have anything in out hands probably for an additional year or so?

Also, how does it work with the interview process? Do they call for an interview or it's the same as for the green card, possibility of not being called for an interview?

Nothing is official regarding the prices, as far as I know, but I've read that they are thinking of doubling the price later this year (just stuff I've read here, I can't really give you more reliable sources :p).

Also from what I'm reading in other threads in the ROC and Citizenship forums, it looks like applying for citizenship while having ROC pending doesn't really delay anything since they are separate forms. I think a lot of people are applying for N-400 because ROC is taking so long, thus trying to "gain" time. Some people get a combo interview (both forms, must bring the USC spouse if you're applying based on marriage), and a few get called just for N-400 but sometimes that means that citizenship can't be approved until ROC is approved. I think for the most part people get approved for both. I'm willing to take a chance. Again, just from what I've been obsessively reading lately lol I just wanna be done with USCIS.

Good Morning Everyone!!! Ok so I have a question for all the Texas filers. My husband and I applied in July, I received my NOA, & did the biometrics. The issue I am having is that my case is stuck stating "As of November 20, 2019, fingerprints relating to your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence"...  anyone still in the same boat as me?? I am worried because we first initially filed in VA when we got married and since then we moved to Alabama so I don't know if that would cause things to move at a slower pace.

Have you applied for citizenship yet? I applied for I -751 in August 2018 in Houston, then in April 2019 moved to AL and still no news whatsoever..

My filing date is June 26th, so I will be filing before prices go high. Have you figured out a way for uploading evidences or uploading information?

yeah same here,

file for N400 and if called for interview, take your spouse and children with you. I guess a child is good enough evidence to get approved :)

It would be great but due all this crazy panic and shutdowns because of Coronavirus I am afraid that we have to wait loooooooonger...as they canceling now oath ceremonies for March and April...who knows that will happen next?

Depends on your local uscis office for n400, I’m in Columbus Ohio so doable if they get off the dime on ROC

I wasn't counting on it before the virus so I truly doubt the odds will be any better now. Sorry for the negativity, just my opinion.

No, you're right. But we gotta be optimistic and send our applications on time. Last year I sent my I751 which they received on June 25 th so they sent it back because it was 89 days, gotta be careful this year

I have been reading the N400 filers page, seems to me that a lot of them have been getting both interviews at the same time. We have to take our spouse with us even if it is a N400 interview
