[Potomac Service Center] I also completed my Biometrics yesterday (October 25th) at my local office in Dover, Delaware and within a couple hours my tracking info updated to fingerprint review completed. The office was just under an hour and a half from my house, my husband went with me. I arrived a half hour early and was the only one there, the gentleman took me back immediately. He took my photo, took 2 fingerprints and sent me on my way. I was there less than 5 minutes. Now we sit and wait to be approved.

Ita your case aproved alredy ?

Not yet, I haven’t heard anything since Biometrics. I’m expecting it to be at least 8-12 months more based on reported processing times. It’s only been 4 months since my application was submitted

Case received July 5, USPS informed delivery shows a letter from USCIS arriving today - I'm guessing biometrics appointment. Nothing updated on the website since case received. Nebraska Service Center.

Me too. My USPS  shows a letter coming today from Homeland Security. I don't remember because it was so long ago. Is that who sends out the Bio appts?

I do too! Filed in early July, Nebraska Service Center. I haven't been paying too much attention to it, to be honest, because I figured it was going to be a long wait. This part of the experience is so different from the early stages when I was checking for updates multiple times a day.

Fingers crossed it's the bio appointment, though. It would be nice to know that things are moving along!

It was indeed the biometrics appointment in our case - November 26. Any idea of how long it typically takes after that? Still quite a while, I would guess. An can (and plans to) apply for naturalization next June, and from what I understand, that moves much more quickly and often is completed before the 10-year green card gets done.

It depends. They can still ask for RFE after this and after you send it, it can still take months. I had my first biometrics in January and did not receive an RFE until July. After that, I did not hear ANYTHING for almost a year, and then I called my congressman. Hopefully this second part will go more quickly.

Anywhere from now to a year +. There is no set time frame. It is important to follow the progress of the Service Center that has your case.

Hello, any MSC cases gotten your biometrics letters yet?

We are going out of the country for the next 3 months. I feel like a week after we leave we will get the letter. Hopefully changing the date is an easy process.
