I called uscis to check on my case for the second time (once every month) and they said that LIN filers are within the Normal processing time and that i should not expect anything soon because this service center takes 18 to 24 months to process cases and they also said that it is most likely that they won't need biometrics but it depends on the officer. I was shocked

Check out the spreadsheet for Nebraska. Those who filed last year usually wait about 8 to 10 months. But the majority do not have an interview or biometrics. I like the spreadsheet because it is those who actually have their filings there who are filling out the spreadsheet.

If you go to the spreadsheet for Nebraska where people are filling in their timeline with that service center, it is May 2018 filers who are getting their biometrics.

No, that is incorrect. The LIN filers for May 2019 are getting their appointments, not May 2018. I have attached a screenshot from the May 2019 filers thread.

July 2019 filers should be able to receive their appointments in another two months or so.

Well, I just looked at the spreadsheet again and see very few from May 2019. As well, it seems to be, when you look back on dates that most who had to get biometrics done waited about 8 months. So, no, I am not "incorrect". I read the spreadsheet. Go up on the sheet to those who had their biometrics done this past July. There are many. Then look at when they filed. It is about the same length of time as it is all the way through. Time will tell.

You were incorrect about the timing I mentioned (saying that it’s May 2018 instead of 2019), and that’s ok, no need to be defensive :) this thread is just a group effort to inform people. May 2019 filers for LIN are getting appointments now, not May 2018 filers. So logically, people who filed in July should be starting to get notices in about two months or so. But as you say, time will tell.

Well, I agree to disagree.  I am a July filer in Lincoln. Will let you know in 2 months should I get a notice. I am going by the spreadsheet, as stated, which shows folks are waiting a lot longer than 2 months. Yes, I know the thread is to inform folks. That is what I did when I sent them the link to the spreadsheet. As I said, there are perhaps 5 filers on that sheet for May 2019, and I did not see that they all received their biometric appointments yet. And I was not incorrect to mention to look at filers from last May or for that matter, any month because it shows that the timeline is about 8 months before they hear anything. The end. 😊

Right that is why there is nothing to disagree. I said you were incorrect when you replied to me the first time, because I am going by real time information for July 2019 filers, which is what this thread is for (not 2018 filers). If someone who filed in July 2019 read your response and expected to receive a notice in April 2020 and decided to go on a holiday in two months then they could miss the appointment.

The important thing is to offer correct and up to date information, not assuaging ones feelings because one can’t handle being wrong on the internet.

hi Boketto,

I have reported this user “Camerica” multiple times because she tends to be very aggressive and NASTY rude with other users. I would suggest you do the same.
Good luck with your process!

No update for my i call 2 weeks ago because no update they reply with this :

We have received your service request and researched the status of your case. You indicated that you have not received a notice for your biometrics appointment. We have requested that you be scheduled for a biometrics appointment. You will receive an appointment notice as soon as there is an available date and time at your local Application Support Center (ASC).  Due to backlogs at some sites it may take more than 60 days for this appointment to be scheduled.
So just wait i did apply 29 july

I signed up for the USPS informed delivery service a while back and haven't actually checked my mail the past few days, especially because I honestly wasn't expecting to hear anything for a few more months so I haven't been getting my hopes up about getting a letter from them. I was laying in bed this morning and pulled up the app to see if I had incoming mail and it showed the letter was delivered on Saturday. I legitimately ran to my mailbox, I barely had time to put pants on lol - I hope you receive yours soon! My bio appt is in less than two weeks, if you did receive one I hope you'll make it back in time! But you can always reschedule too if you have to

Awesome news! Thanks for sharing. My case has been sent out 07/05 and received 07/13 Potomac office. Hoping and expecting to getting mine soon.

Also did they update case status on website or it is still saying "case received"?

Thank you
