One last question ( at least the last one from me, lol), do you see all this updates on your USCIS account? Received any sms or emails about fingerprints ? Or just got that one magic letter in the mail with the approval?

Yes,  my uscis account gets an update everytime, I just don't log in regularly and check them because I know the process for i-751takes a while. I am not subscribed to any sms updates though. Just hit me up if you have any more questions I am glad to help!

Congrats, yay! We're close by, I'm in Claremont. San Bernardino local office seems to be pretty fast, I'm also in CSC (WAC).

I agree! Thanks and wish you the best with your application!

you sir are an optimist 😊, to me this just screams of the lack of organization in these processes, although a fortuitous surprise for the OP

That is certainly one way to look at it and you probably just brought me back to the ground, lol. I just went and looked at USCIS's "standard processing times" for ROC at all the service centers and.......yeah, I better sit back down and put my seat belt back on for this long ride. 😅

If you look at the timeline of the folks who posted that they waited not even a month for their 10 year, GC, it seems that their entire process from start to finish was more quick than most. Odd. Wonder why?

didn't mean to burst your bubble ... I think those standard times are woefully overstated, I hope I am right, my problem is I am a cynic

I really have no idea. I sometimes wonder if people enter the incorrect information and I just don't understand the rhyme or reason for how the service centers work. I could totally be incorrect, but the only patterns I have seen are that they seem to split CR1s and K1s to different service centers and if you have had an AOS interview - good! - because you probably won't have another one. I am starting to think that having my AOS interview waived might backfire now for wait times.

No, it is completely okay. I have to be brought back to Earth or I start getting really worried that the process isn't moving a long for me. I am thankful to have this community to have other people to talk to that are going through the same journey.

I feel like there was a pile of 'oldest to newest' cases, which got stacked upside-down somehow and @nnicole's newer case ended up on top... Next in line 😂

Alright guys, another little update for you all.  We got approved today!!!!  J/K,  I wish!  Didn't want to put a damper on the approval party going on in the above comments, but I have to get serious now.  So, ended up calling USCIS on 9/5 to inquire about biometrics for my husband.   Long story short, was told by a tier 2 officer that they would put in another request and that we should get something in two weeks.  If after 30 days nothing, then to call back or put in another request.  Sounds a lot like what others who have inquired about their biometrics are getting for responses as well.  Lots of generic answers.  You know the drill.  Anyways, still nothing in the mail nor on the website has anything changed.  Not too terribly concerned at the moment and taking it one day.....or month at a time.  Lol.  Glad to read that a few people are seeing movement and every little bit helps someone else somewhere on their journey.  Will keep everyone updated if any new news come through.  Staying positive!

I think we should send complaints letters to the centers, or maybe to Senators, may be make it anonymous or use P.o.box addresses, because it’s really abnormal to make decisions on applications for a year or more! Come on! I am sure the real time they take to make a decision -30 minutes, just check documents and approve it or send request for add. documents if there is lack of them.

Really annoying :(

I agree it’s annoying, but honestly, what response are you expecting.?  Volume is high, scrutiny is elevated, there is roughly a quarter of a million application in the pipeline. I believe the employees are working to the best of their abilities, but between the inlux in apps, the increased workload dealing with undocumented, and the current regimes insistence on increased vetting they are overwhelmed. The best we can hope for is a reasonable timeline, an enthusiastic reviewer and a short calendar. Best of luck to you and the rest of us
