What are they going to do? Send me back to my home country? Really.

I agree. People get really hung up on this website about trying to submit every single type of evidence. In reality, there's a lot of different types of good evidence and all you can do is to strive to provide as many types as you can. If you're missing a couple of types, you're probably OKAY!

You are so right. I think everything is going well until I start reading peoples assumptions on here and then my stomach gets sick.

I'm so sorry you had such a horrible time with USCIS customer service. In my experience, they are usually thoroughly unhelpful. However, the representative was right that you will need to wait 30 days before contacting them again. I suspect that even if your spouse calls, they will simply state please wait 30 days and call us again.

Well, we just got a case update notification from the Case Tracker app at 10:04 pm this evening. It says the notice was returned to USCIS because they were unable to deliver it! How is that even possible? We live with my parents and have a single mail box.

2 things I'm upset about:

1). How come after calling today and being told that they couldn't give me any info we suddenly get this notification? Does that mean if we never called we never would have found out?!?!?!

2). They must have got our address wrong or USPS delivered it to the wrpng address. Our address is up to date with USCIS and was written correctly on all paperwork and the envelope. I know because I checked everything multiple times before mailing it.

I knew, I got a spider sense feeling last night, that something was off.

What a crappy way to end the evening.

All of us have sent the applications to AZ or TX. All of the applications get forwarded to a service center, which is reflected on your extension letter. Mine, for example, is at “EAC” which is the Vermont service center. Others are MSC (national benefits center), LIN (Nebraska), etc.

Wow! Maybe you are one of the few who won't be asked for another biometrics. Where did your packet go? The only reason that I am concerned is that I am going out of town for about 2.5 weeks. on September 1st. I will have to have the envelope fedexed to me if it comes while I am gone. Trouble is that we are camping and moving every few days as we travel a few states.

I sent to Texas service center and it went to YSC from there. YSC is Potomac I think

Mine was also sent to Texas and the YSC - Potomac. I got the 18-month extension letter on 07/20 and haven't heard about biometrics yet.

Also in the YSC Potomac club waiting for biometrics appt. Not sure it will do any good but we were able to send a request yesterday to check on the appt notice here: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayNDNForm.do?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=ndn This only works 30 days after your packet was received.

Hi everyone, I read again ( slowly) my extension letter and this is that they say exactly in mine about biometrics: We require biometrics for some types of case. If we need biometrics from you, we will send you a SEPARATE appointment notice with a specific date, blablabla. You must wait for that separate appointment and take it ( NOT this receipt notice) to your ASC appointment along with your photo identification.

Service center is in Texas, SRC.

Got NOA on 29th July. No news after that.

I suppose now that the text about biometrics is different for everyone? And depends on the service center?

I think that this is the standard form that everyone gets. My form said the same thing . My service center is Nebraska. Some people have waited more than 20 days for their biometric appointment letter before they received it.

My husband's NOA was dated 7/19. His case is also with SRC and we haven't gotten anything for biometrics yet. I had stopped our mail for a bit and went to the post office and nothing as of today 8/15. I am thinking of once we hit 30 days to have him call USCIS customer service.
