We received our biometrics appointment last Friday! Our timeline so far:

 

  • 07/19/2019 - Mailed package.
  • 07/22/2019 - Package delivered to Phoenix Lockbox.
  • 07/24/2019 - Credit card charged
  • 07/29/2019 - Text message with case number received (MSC - National Benefits Center).
  • 08/09/2019 - Biometrics appointment notification received.
  • 08/23/2019 - Biometrics appointment date.

I got my text message on the 29th as well. And then my I797 in the mail on August 3rd, dated July 29th.  Since then, I have received nothing for my biometrics appointment.

I suspect which service center you're application is at has something to do with this. I've just noticed anecdotally people who's application has been sent to either the California or Texas service centers appear to receive the biometrics appointment notification a bit slower.

My application was sent by USCIS to Nebraska. I am hoping to get something soon.

Hello, 

I received my Extension Letter on 07/20 and i was notified that my case was transferred from Dallas TX to YSC. I have not received my Biometrics yet. Does anyone know how long it's supposed to take?

I'm at YSC too and am waiting for biometric info. Hoping my old ones can get reused
