Could any of you who filed at the beginning of July tell me if you received your bio-metric letter? And if you did, how long was given to get to your appointment? I have to go away at the beginning of September for a few weeks. I filed and received my I797 on July 24th. Am trying to figure out if I will receive the letter before I leave or if the person who is going to watch for the letter in my mail will receive it while I am away.

We filed around the same time as you. My husband's case is with the Texas Service Center. We got his extension letter on the 22nd. We have not received a bio-metrics letter, and I am not sure if there is a way to get a timeline for one or not. Not sure if you can call immigration customer service and see if they can look to see if a letter has posted or not for bio-metrics?

I filed 7/3, NOA dated 7/9. Still haven't got any Biometrics letter. Sent my package to Texas "SRC".

Thanks for answering me. Could you post when you get your letter? Would appreciate it. Is your packet being dealt with there or has it been moved to another service center?

Wow. There may be hope that I receive my appt before I leave. May depend on the service center. There is no rhythm nor reason for where they send the packets. I live in PA and mine was sent from Texas to Nebraska.

Hi everyone! My husband is a Sept 2018 filer.  We just got an RFE and we're planning to turn it back around by the end of next week. Did any of you July filers get RFEs? And how has the process gone since then?  Have you heard back from them regarding the additional information?  Anyone already approved?

I know it will be a delay, I'm just trying to gauge how much of a delay.  Like do we go right back in the same pile or do we get moved to the back of the line.  Obviously hoping for the the first option.  Any info is helpful!

Thank you!!!

Hi, I think you have this in the wrong thread. This is the JULY 2019 thread and many of us have not even received bio-metric appointment letters. 😁

Hi, if no secret what was RFE about ? Which documents did you send? And which service center?

But it’s crazy that they process things so slowly...(((

I haven't received Biometrics yet. I agree with others that there's no way of knowing when you'll get it. As long as you have someone watching your mail, you'll be ok!

You should be fine, isn't there a list of acceptable forms of ID on the appointment letter?

So far all biometric updates have been for appointments? No one has had theirs reused yet?

I'm not sure when they send out notifications to say they will reuse your biometrics. From looking around the site it looks like in cases where they are reused you go a long time without hearing anything.

Could it be that if you don't hear anything for a while there's a chance they will be reusing your biometrics? Or is this wishful thinking? 😂

Getting really nervous

Jul 29: Package sent to Pheoniz mailbox

Jul 30: Received and signed by someone in USCIS

Aug 5: Cashiers Check cashed

no update yet on NOA :(

Getting worried because everyone seems to have gotten their NOA immediately :( My mailing address is different from my physical address and I did mention that in the form!

Is this normal or is this very delayed? Should I try to call and follow up?

I think that I would call someone and explain about the address. Save yourself some heartache perhaps. Let them know before someone decides that there is a problem.
