7/19/19 - Mailed to Phoenix Lock-box

7/22/19 - Delivered at Phoenix and Signed for by "T WRGHT"

7/26/19 - Check Cashed

We have not received any text or email notifications. Trying not to worry, but others have seemed to receive a text or email before the check was cashed.

I think everyone gets different results and it depends on which center it's sent to and who handles it! My husband I forgot the text notification form. Ours went like this:

7/17 delivered and signed at Dallas PO Box

7/22 Got NOA with 18 month extension in mail dated 7/19

7/23 Check cashed

Cannot check our status online. Says it does not recognize receipt number when we check case status online. My husband's case is with the Texas Service Center. He may have to call for updates and find out why we can't check case status online...

It always works out this way...we call because we are worry-warts. As my husband was on the phone he got the text message notification. 😂

Very nice lady on the helpline said our NOA1 was mailed yesterday.

I see myself filling another packet and send it off next week or early August.

My package has been at the Dallas distribution center for 3 days with NO update.

All that I get is that the shipment is on it's way to the next facility.

Why can't USPS tell me that they lost it?!

yikes, that really sucks, I'm sorry.

The one time this happened to me (I was sending some J-1 related paperwork), I went to my local post office and explained the importance of my package and they ended up refunding me the shipping so I could send it again. I also don't think they ever acknowledge they lost it.

Hey All!

Looks like I'll be joining y'all on this crazy journey! We've been assigned to the National Benefits Center (MSC).

Our I-751 timeline thus far:

  • Mailed package via USPS with tracking: 07/19/2019.

I was able to successfully track our case on the USCIS case status website.

I will check the bank account every week starting next Friday to see if they have cashed the check.

This is so ridiculous. It says 2 Day shipment not 3 or good knows for how long.

Overnight priority express is guaranteed for 1 or 2 day delivery. Priority mail usually gets delivered in two days but there is no guarantee for that (and USPS representative will tell you this although the marketing makes it look like a two-day delivery service). Often it can take 3 days, sometimes even longer (weather issues in transfer and transit hubs can cause delays). If you've received an update from USPS about your package being in transit, it might be worth waiting a few more days.

If you believe the package was lost, USCIS won't be able to send it back to you because they never received it. For the check, if you call your bank and let them know which check numbers not to cash, they can most likely stop the payment if the check hasn't been cashed yet.

All the best.

I've been getting this "in transit to the next facility" every day since Wednesday.

It's just weird because it has never happened before...

I meant that IF USCIS should magically receive it but I canceled the check. They would return the package to me to let me know that they were not able to cash the check, right?

I'll wait a few more days but I'm getting more impatient every day. I try not to but it's not easy of you don't get a better update than this.

Yeah, I'd expect the USCIS will mail you back your package for improper filing fee if they could not cash the cheque. Hope your package gets delivered soon and you get to relax a bit!
