July 22 - Text notification, #YSC Potomac

July 23 - Check cashed

July 25 - Received 18 Month Extension Letter

When I applied for AOS I had no issues with USPS delivering it.

That sucks... I can see why you're worrying now. You'd have to be incredibly unlucky for that to happen again though, I'm sure it's fine.

 

Did you ever get any closure on where you original packet went? Was it signed for by anyone? It would be nice to know where this packet went considering it contains personal information about two of you!

We have no idea what happened, how or where it got lost.

I hope my package will get delivered soon. The package has been "in transit" status for a day now. I try not to worry about it but it's not easy.

Yep... Actually I think for my AOS packet the USPS tracking was 'in transit' for over a week. It was still in transit when USCIS cashed my check... That's the only way I knew it arrived, I don't think it ever changed to delivered!

I will check the bank account every week starting next Friday to see if they have cashed the check.

This is so ridiculous. It says 2 Day shipment not 3 or good knows for how long.

Hi everyone, my update, called today to USCIS, was waiting almost 35mins before someone answered, but was able to receive my receipt number and the person on the phone said that they mailed my receipt to me. Wasn’t so happy to hear that the case was routed to the Texas Center...it looks like it has the longest processing time..! But at least they began to process it...

Repeat my timeline:

22 July - received in Phoenix lockbox 

25 July - called around 3PM Western time and received my receipt number.

The check hasn’t been cashed yet,  and no sms/email, but able to check the case status online already. 

Fingers crossed.

I paid with a credit card too, they received my package on July 3 and my credit card was charged on the 9th. I think you are still within a reasonable time frame. Hang in there! Perhaps you can try calling on Monday. You have a confirmed delivery so it must be USCIS being slow.

Submitted last Friday, delivered on Monday. Still waiting on NOA1 and the check to be cashed.

Does any one know average timeframe for biometrics? We are planning a trip last week of September and it'll be typical luck for the biometrics to be scheduled right when we're away!

It's very hard to tell, I've seen in the June 2019 thread that some people got biometrics after a month, in other threads (March, April, May 2019) some have not received anything at all yet.

I say go on your trip, make sure you have all the possible notifications (email, text from USCIS, visa tracker, USPS informed delivery) to keep track of your case and mail.

I've also read that some people have successfully done walk-in biometrics before their scheduled appointment.

7/26/19 - Check Cashed
