Has anyone with MSC ( National benefits center ) noticed any movement in regards to his/ her case, I think NBC is the slowest of all, since JUNE 2016, I haven’t heard anything about my case.
The waiting thing is really frustrating and I guess New York is really terrible.
Majority of the ROC filers that are being transferred from one service center to NBC are always scheduled or approved quickly, it’s really making me nervous and frustrated.
It’s really a sad thing to see people who file in late 2020 getting approvals and notice of interviews, I’m happy for them though, but it’s , at the same time, not a good feeling knowing there’s nothing you can do about it than wait to be called or approved without interview.

I filled july 2019 and was transferred to NBC. Went to get my infopass and the clerk told me that my case is in the local office NYC and I751 cases take up to 5 years 😭😭😭 I hope that's not true

I just logged into my account and saw that my status changed today saying that an RFE has been mailed. As far as I remember, my I-751 was super organized and detailed. I’m nervous about what they’re going to ask me for since I thought I sent as much as I could. Maybe since I filed back in 2019 and it’s almost 2 years later, they want to make sure my husband and I are still in a bona fide marriage? Anyone else gotten an RFE? If so, what’d they ask for? I know this is a case by case basis, just want to get an idea of what they’re asking for.

Did you file for your citizenship too? I didn't and I was worry because my i751 is been pending for 2 years , I summited an inquiry and they answered me to wait 6  more months

I don’t think that’s right , I have friends who have gotten their GC within just one year of filing their ROC , let’s keep our fingers crossed , our time will come

Is your local field office in Chicago? I'm hoping this means they are moving through applications there! Good luck with your interview.

Yep local field office in Chicago. My case was being processed by Nebraska Service Center. When I got my i551 stamp in March, the field officer told me that "my case was ready for further processing, it was just waiting to be mailed to their (Chicago) field office".

I don’t think that NBC is that slow. This service center process cases that require interviews. The delay is at the local office. They have so many previously assigned cases that depending on the city it could be months or years. Some cities like NYC have longer wait times than other smaller cities.
I live in a big city and is probably like when you try to get your drivers license, it could take the whole day because of the amount of people, but if you drive to a smallest nearby town, it could take minutes because not that many people live there. It is a fact.

It is not a perfect and fair system in which everyone gets their approvals in the same amount of time, unfortunately there is nothing we can do but wait.

Is anyone in this group still waiting for the i751 approval? I made an inquiry last month and they reply back to me saying that I have to wait 180 days more 😑

Yes, filed 07/24/2019.

Me too exactly the same day..

Really. My case was originally in Texas, but later got transferred to National benefits center. I had my biometrics on December 18th 2019, on the 19th of December 2019, it changed to "Ready to be scheduled for an interview". Since then I had nothing.

I filed for citizenship on July 18th 2020, got biometrics reuse notice on January 13th, and nothing else since then.
