My interview was scheduled for May 10 at 7:30am, San Bernardino office CA. I actually got two notices, stapled together. One for I-751 and one for N-400 so it is safe to assume I'll get a combo interview. My online status only reflects this for N-400 though. I-751 still stuck at "case transferred".

Had my Infopass appointment today to "extend the extension" on the removal of conditions. 1 out of 4 employees was actually doing work.

The other 3 texting on their phones.

At this rate, I'll probably become a citizen of Mars before I become a US Citizen.

At least I can travel overseas now

Justa had my N400 interview and exam yesterday and passed it. However, they still need to adjudicate my i-751. Although officer said my case was easy and it will be reviewed as is, it will take time to adjudicate it. She said they are shortstaffed but other than that, is there a reason why the i-751 are taking long? Here was my experience yesterday. MyUSCIS app said it will take 8 months for the N400 to be processed. I-751 stuck in Case Has Been Transferred to a New Office.

Current timeline:

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

21 months and 7 days later I'm still waiting on my i751..

I had my interview 6 months ago.. It didn't go well, but it's been 6 months, if I was going to get a NTA or something else it's been a long time, I had my passport stamped 1 month ago... The processing time is 15 months so why am I still waiting?

Hi all,

Just an update. My wife had her N-400 Interview at Hartford. She went to the office around 2pm for 2:15pm interview time slot. She was called at 2:16pm and interview went for about 15-20 minutes. Office didn't ask many questions about the application and she passed the civics and English test. The officer then told her that since she has a pending I-751 (removal of conditional residency) he is going to need to investigate her file further. He mentioned that the Green Card application needs to be stopped and cannot move forward because the citizenship process should be the last thing. She asked if he can perform a combo interview since I was waiting in the car. He mentioned that he cannot do an interview because he needs to stop the green card process instead of moving it forward. She was given a paper that states that she passed the civics and English test but her application needs to be further reviewed. He mentioned that he will review her file either today or tomorrow. We checked her online profile just now and it shows that it went through a quality review and she has been approved for oath, and an oath was scheduled. We were slightly concerned that the pending I-751 would impact her N-400 or we may be called back in for another interview but it looks like we may be okay. Hopefully, the oath letter will show up in the profile over the next couple of days and we will know for sure when/if the oath is scheduled.

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else. This was the first time I came across this. Normally, people on this board have had a combo interview. Seemed strange but hoping it turns out okay.

There is no change to her I-751 case status online. It still is stuck at ready for interview as of Jan. 22 2020.

This same thing happened to us! Did she get her oath scheduled yet? Any updates?

Yes, she had her oath scheduled for last week and is now a citizen! Her status was updated later in the day of interview and a oath letter was available on the online portal after a couple of days. A follow up letter was also mailed stating that her I-751 was approved but a GC will not be mailed since she has been approved for N-400.

All the very best!

A copy of all the documents we had submitted in the portal, application, photos of us - all the normal stuff. Luckily, the representative didn't ask to see anything.

You’re not in this alone , I am also with you .... a lot of people are silent on this because is mentally draining ... we just have to keep consoling ourselves..... Better days ahead.

Ok my case is like 8 months outside of the processing time, I had my interview 6 months ago, and nothing yet... The last inquiry I did they told me by an email to wait 30 day and I should get a notice or decision, so they have until this Friday if I don't get an answer I have to call again.

I had a bad interview, I filed married but I got divorce I'm the middle of the process.

I filled jointly but filled for divorce 6 months ago.

Did you have the interview alone? Why was it bad?

When I got the divorce papers iny hand I called USCIS to let them know, and I mailed my divorce papers with a letter to switch my application to divorce, when I got yo the interview the officer didn't know about he didn't even had any of my paperwork, I had my receipt when I mailed the divorce papers and the letter so I was good.

in the interview he was sure that my marriage was real,  but he found an error in my turist visa back in 2015 I believe, is a long history when I first got my american turist visa I was single,

in one of my visits to USA , someone stole my passport so I went to get a new one but in my application I put SINGLE again when I was already married I didn't think about it. I was living with my american wife in my country.. a year later we decided to move to USA , adjusted my status and got my green card but now in doing my i751 the officer found the mistake and I don't know if He will approve me or not.. it's been 6 months since my interview he told me he had intentions of have my case denied but it's been soo long that I hope he just put my case to the side to approve me later

I don't think he has reasons to deny your application.  If he believed that the marriage was bona fide I don't think he can do that. If he wanted to deny you he would have done so right away.
