How was your infopass experience at San Bernardino Field Office? did you get a chance to ask any questions you may have with them?

It went well. I was in and out in 15 minutes. I was really hoping they would say "ah since you're here, let's interview you" 🤣 Of course they didn't. The officer said I was likely to be interviewed before the 12-month stamp expires. That the I-751 is taking about 2 years to be processed. My appointment was at 7:15am, they took my GC and gave me a copy of it.

I am so happy to report that my husband's N-400 interview has been scheduled! We have begun the process of preparing now. He is studying like a maniac and I am getting papers together. I am planning to send him with a big stack of evidence (taxes, apartment leases, quarterly bank statements, some utility bills, and a few photos), just in case. Interview notice also requested our marriage certificate and my birth certificate as the USC spouse. I know there is a chance they won't ask for the evidence, but we'd rather not take any risks. I will attend with him even though we are not sure if it will be a combined 751-400 interview, although it probably will. He is going to ask about that in the Infopass appointment to see if he can glean any information.

Stay strong everyone! Really glad I had everyone here as support throughout this process.

-i-751 sent in July 12, 2019

-Ready to be scheduled for an interview on January 22, 2020

-N400 sent in August 14, 2020.

-Biometrics reuse notice for N400 on January 12, 2021.

-Called March 3 to schedule the Infopass appointment- used the "technical problem" and spoke to someone immediately. They said someone would call in 14 days and lo and behold they did!

-Interview notice received on March 12, 2021.

-Call received for the infopass appointment at 8am on March 15, 2021.

-Infopass appointment on March 29, 2021.

-Interview on April 19, 2021.

Hi all,

Just an update. My wife had her N-400 Interview at Hartford. She went to the office around 2pm for 2:15pm interview time slot. She was called at 2:16pm and interview went for about 15-20 minutes. Office didn't ask many questions about the application and she passed the civics and English test. The officer then told her that since she has a pending I-751 (removal of conditional residency) he is going to need to investigate her file further. He mentioned that the Green Card application needs to be stopped and cannot move forward because the citizenship process should be the last thing. She asked if he can perform a combo interview since I was waiting in the car. He mentioned that he cannot do an interview because he needs to stop the green card process instead of moving it forward. She was given a paper that states that she passed the civics and English test but her application needs to be further reviewed. He mentioned that he will review her file either today or tomorrow. We checked her online profile just now and it shows that it went through a quality review and she has been approved for oath, and an oath was scheduled. We were slightly concerned that the pending I-751 would impact her N-400 or we may be called back in for another interview but it looks like we may be okay. Hopefully, the oath letter will show up in the profile over the next couple of days and we will know for sure when/if the oath is scheduled.

Not sure if this has happened to anyone else. This was the first time I came across this. Normally, people on this board have had a combo interview. Seemed strange but hoping it turns out okay.

There is no change to her I-751 case status online. It still is stuck at ready for interview as of Jan. 22 2020.

Yes I did back in 2017 when I had just applied for adjustment of status i-485.  Only one interview and I got approved on spot.

Okay, congratulations once again and thanks for the response , I haven’t had any interview coz I came in with CR1, I have a pending I751 and N400, filed my I-751 in July 2019 and N400 In December of 2020, still haven’t heard anything . It’s really frustrating.

Thanks for the encouragement ... yes I know there’s a lot of backlog , but NYC is really slow , I hardly see people on here talking about receiving interview schedules.
I am staying positive though ..
