hey everyone,

does anybody know how to bypass the AI when you call the 800.375.5283? my extension letter is expiring and i need another extension or stamp or something because my driver's license is connected to that letter. however, i am unable to talk to a representative because of the infuriating AI machine that answers all calls and just hangs up on you etc. Any ideas on how to reach to a rep etc? (I had managed to do it before and they even gave me a service # and told me an agent would call me in 7 days but it has been more than two weeks and no one has called that is why i tried calling again, but this time I couldn't pass the stupid AI)

Hi, 

 

Just called to schedule the Infopass appointment cause my husband's extension letter expires in early April. You have to have a reason to request the appointment. We said work. She said we would get a call from a local number within 14 business days to schedule the appointment. I am very worried they are not going to stick to 14 days. 

 

We also filed a service center request for an update saying we are out of normal times just to see what happens. Naturally we've gotten no response and we even submitted a follow-up so I had her submit a third follow-up this morning. I only want to hear them say they haven't lost our case. We submitted N-400 in late July 2020 and our current estimated completion is June 2021, but who even knows there. We did get the notice that they are going to reuse his biometrics for N-400 so that was nice to see! 

 

Really glad to have this online community! It has helped a lot.

I received text from USCIS this morning to check my online status. On March 3, they now have an N400 interview scheduled for me, so I am waiting for the notice of when it will be. It will probably be a combo interview, so I will still bring my husband with me. I will keep you posted. 🥰🙏🏼

Current timeline:

 

July 2019 - filed I-751

August 2020 - filed N400

Sept. 2020 - i-751 status "Case Was Transferred to a New Office". Transferred to NBC.

April 12, 2021 - N400 interview in LA passed (with a pending i-751)

May 20, 2021 - I-751 status changed to Approved and N400 status changed to Oath Will Be Scheduled. 🤩

May 21, 2021 - received a call and email from USCIS Los Angeles with my NOA with my oath schedule.

May 28, 2021 - oath taking schedule in USCIS DTLA office. 😍

Congrats!!! that's like a light speed for LA office.

And did you receive any update reg your I-751? I see a lot of I-751 case numbers around mine have been approved recently, but mine stays "transferred to another office" since last July...

Thank you! I really hope everything will go well. My I-751 has the same status as yours since Sept. 2020. I filed N400 August 2020, so I think my I-751 was moved to another office coz of my N400. And now N400 has movement, so hoping they will be adjudicated at the same time. 

Current timeline:

I also called USCIS on Monday to schedule infopass appointment. I was told they will call me within 14 days. We'll see. My local office is San Bernardino, CA.

Okay, I checked myUSCIS for my NOA and my interview schedule is on April 12, Monday, at 8:05 am (so dang early!) in LA office. I will keep everyone posted after this day. ❤️❤️❤️ This is it!

Send an email from your online profile "MyUSCIS" I did it and receive a called about a week after I sent the email.

Anyone else who filed in 2019 that whose papers are stuck?? Anyone know a time frame when they will be able to give me a decision after receiving RFE? Am so stressed all other people that filed after me got their papers.  Is it because I don't have a child ? lol

Me too.. July 2019 I had my interview 4months ago, the officer told me he will denied me. I haven't heard anything from him yet...
