How do I check local office processing time is there any way. Mine is in Fairfax, VA.

Go to USCIS page, click on "check processing times", select the form and the office.

I submitted mine yesterday. Status updated to say "received" and says they'll send me a biometrics appointment. Interesting thing is that there's an estimated wait time listed as 4 days. For the biometrics appointment to be set, I assume. And my case completion estimate is May 2021, only 8 months.

What's your completion estimate? I wonder if they just start out at 8 months and increase after that or if it's live data.

N-400 Application for Naturalization

Day    00 - 08/31/20 - Submitted online N-400 application. ROC still pending. Requested combo interview.

Day    01 - 09/01/20 - NOA received online. Status says biometrics appt letter will be sent. (PD 08/31/20)

Day  141 - 01/20/21 - Biometrics reuse letter

Day  233 - 04/22/21 - ROC approved, no news on N-400

Day  288 - 06/18/21 - Interview scheduled

Day  332 - 07/30/21 - Successful interview. No decision yet.

Day 758  - 09/28/22 - Oath ceremony will be scheduled

Day 870 - 01/18/23 - Oath ceremony complete

Mine still says it was received and can take 48 hours to process. Maybe it will update today or tomorrow

I'm hoping they can reuse our biometrics, they took mine last November.

I assume mine will go to Tampa, I think said 9-14 months for n400s

I submitted mine in June, estimated completion was April 2021 and then it dropped to November 2020. I don't know if I believe it.

Hi, I have a question: I applied N-400 online while my I-751 is still pending. Now, I am moving to a different address (in the same city). Is there a way I can change my address on myUSCIS account online ? Or should I file AR-11? If so, do I need to file two separate AR-11’s for N-400 and I751 applications ? (I don’t see an option of choosing N-400 and I751 on AR-11)

You can change your address online (super easy)  You can file the form as well, you don’t need to do for both cases.

Our cases are pretty much identical, my biometrics were in November and I'm at Potomac too.

I just applied for n400 on Tuesday. I don't think Potomac is moving at all and n400 fees are going up October 2nd

This might be a silly question, but what is an n400? Also, are you worried about the extension letter as well? We are supposed to be traveling next June and are worried we won't be able to. Also not sure why other centers seem to be moving but Potomac is not.

N400 is the application for citizenship (naturalization).

We can apply 3 years after our green card was issued (but you can submit it 90 days before this date).

Currently about $725 but going to $1160 on October 2nd.

I haven't really thought about the extension letter much. I've heard stamps are the way to go but hard to get... No one has touched my case in Potomac in almost 14 months so I went for the n400

I just got a response today from a service request I opened in June(!)

Quote

Our records indicate that we are awaiting your appearance for biometric processing. Your case is currently in suspense or on hold until we receive your biometrics.  Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for biometrics at their local ASC. Once you have been scheduled, you will receive an ASC Appointment Notice containing the date, time and location of your appointment.  You must take the ASC Appointment Notice and photo ID to your appointment.

Wondering if this might actually move something along.

Service request because of out of processing time? Through the site or representative? I created the same via the site and got answer in 5h but bullshit as always - still processing, etc.

Hey guys...

Looks like they started with the I751 interviews.

I found these 2 that are already scheduled for an interview.

Anyone here got a date?
