No but for most of us we want to be citizens so we file once we qualify. You don't ever have to apply for citizenship. It's a choice. You can stay a green card holders forever or apply anytime after you qualify.

Thank you for sharing that! At first, I was worried it was a mistake, because I have read in the USCIS rules that at least one interview is required, or at least I thought!

Congratulations! I applied same day with you...same service center...and nothing...created a lot of service requests and called....it’s so strange   Can you remind what is your local office? May be it’s all depends on the local state too..

how did you find out your case was received by the local office? did you get an online notification?

Hi guys. My N400 window opened yesterday and I applied today. Hoping naturalization process will be bit faster or speed up my ROC at least. Will keep you guys updated on my timeline.

Yeah I think it I read that too, my guess is they have made exceptions for covid

3rd November 2016 - I-751 Mailed

16th November 2016 -  Notice received

3rd December 2016 - Bio-metrics Appointment Notice  for 17th December 2016

25th February 2018 - Case Transferred to Local Office

8th May 2018 - Case Transferred to another Office/ Initial Review

7th June 2018 - Combined interview/ name Update/ Approved with N-400

N-400 Journey

31st October 2017 - N-400 Mailed

2nd November 2017 - NOA

12th November 2017 - NOA from office case transferred to.

20th November 2017 - Biometrics Appointment

1st May 2018 - Interview Notice

7th June 2018 - Interview/ Approved/ Oath Ceremony will be scheduled

12th June 2018 - Oath Ceremony Notice Mailed

09th July 2018 - Oath Ceremony..... I am a US Citizen

Wow, i am so sorry!! That sucks so much. I don't understand the way they do things at all. 

Our local office is Kansas City, Missouri. I am sure our office has less cases than many major cities around the country.

Thank you! We didn't get a text or email notification. We just looked after a few months of not looking and it showed up in the online portal.

It actually is case by case. When I applied, there were people who filed after me that got it in 3-6 months. It took me nearly 18 months to get it and others waited even longer.  It varies by office, agent, case,...etc. No real rule to expect.  Just keep persisting.

Anyone with YSC have a good new?!! Or at least an update? Mine doesn’t have any movements at all. 
My n400 window Opening next month, I think I will just apply neutralization 🤕
