Hello,

Firstly, how is everyone today any exciting progress I have missed?

Now to me!! :)

Firstly a quick overview; I sent my petition with photo's that were just from an ordinary photo booth (I was new to this and didn't follow the instructtions to the letter - silly me!) Having read a post on here I realised my error and had correct photo's taken. I posted them to E. Now at the time he was in the field (soldier not farmer!) and we only got to speak very breifly. When I asked him do you have the photo's he said yes. I though phew crisis overted...but Nooooooo! He thought I meant had he had his photo's taken. So to cut my rambling story short the petition has gone with the wrong photo!

Question: What the bloody hell do we do now? Wait and see if they ask for a new one? Send it as soon as we have the number off the NOA1, with an ooops I'm a moron letter? Cross fingers and hope that they decide I look pretty on that one and decide to ignore the fact that it is a bit wrong!!?

Advice and comments would be appreciated. I feel a bit stupid now so be kind!

I'm guessing you're talking about picture size? My wife's application was also mailed with the non-US sized passport pictures, the little rectangular ones. We did not get an RFE, but I have read on here that they sometimes happen, but it seems most people don't get an RFE due to picture size. We were also obsessing about this but then realized that besides the shape all the required measurements were within specs (distance from chin to forehead, etc.)

Chances are you're ok. Try not to worry.

But I would say definitely send the correct sized ones for the rest of the process. Better safe than sorry.

Thank you for the advice, I had some correct size pictures taken today which will go with the I129-f etc but fingers crossed it will all be ok.

Thanks again

esmp,

The USCIS may accept the photos if they are reasonably close to the spec, as they are just used for the file. You may be OK.

Later on the US consulate will be very picky about the photos submitted for the visa application because they will be used to make the visa.
