Guys,

I am just filing the initial I29F. My fiance lives in Tanzania but is a citizen of Congo so his passport is from Congo. I am including in my application His Congo Passport and Congo Birth Certificate. Do you guys think I should include something showing that he is living in Tanzania from his work. He has lived there for many years and we would rather he use the Tanzanian US Embassy instead of Congo. I am having him tell his employer to write a letter showing he is working there. What do you guys think?

The I-129F will indicate where he lives, won't it?

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Yes I see a space where they are asking for his physical address. Should that address that?

Yes.  That will indicate where he actually lives.....good luck.

At the time my fiancé was also living in a different country. We also included a copy of his visa to that country in our packet, so it reflected his legal presence there since it wasn't his passport country.

My fiance is also living in another country than his citizenship country. I just filled out the application as normal, gave only the documents needed and I didn't put anything in the i-129f regarding his status in the country since it wasn't required. As far as I know, the i-129 doesn't even require the beneficiaries passport or birth certificate at that point in the process. I didn't include it other than passport stamps. I think you should be fine. :)

It is usually enough to add that physical address. It was enough for me and they asked for more clarification on my residency when it come to embassy stage.
