Congratulations - that's what 6 weeks from offer to completion? That is great! I'd kill for a sale that quick right now! (Although I'd stick to killing things that it's generally okay to kill of course...)

I am moving to the US on 30th June if all goes as planned, so I can really feel those 'oh my god I have to pack' vibes.

Six weeks from offer to exchange yes, if all goes well.

Personally I like a few weeks between exchange and completion to give me time to book removals, sort a load of stuff out, that sort of thing.

We will be testing this over the next few weeks - we have keen buyers and I am certainly a keen seller!

Unless you are unlucky enough to be caught in a huge chain. Luckily, I had first time buyers purchase my home in London, so it was relatively stress free. They were also really nice people too, always helps.

Awesome news HA, fingers crossed you get to complete as planned! :)

It's so stressful doing it all so quickly but the good thing about completing is you know you have to get your ####### out of there so by hook or by crook it gets done! I ended up throwing various items that didn't 'belong' in any of the boxes I had packed into my car at 4am the morning I moved - I ended up with a strange variety of items (facial sauna, such a good idea, used about one and a half times; various adaptor plugs for mobile phones I hadn't even owned for three years; 142 emery boards..) in the back of my car for about six months but I did get out in time!

Permanent Resident Since 01/03/2007

N-400 application mailed 3/20/17

Credit card charged 3/25/17

NOA 3/31/17
