You should be able to stop by your local public library, or the DMV/testing center to pick up a free driver handbook. It will go over some basic rules and the signs. It also should have all the questions and answers that will be on the written test. Matt thumbed through it once or twice and then mailed it to his parents so they could make fun of it and know how to drive in Missouri once they make it over here.

Good idea! I’ll have lee pop by tomorrow and grab one for me. I’m so excited to drive over here it’s actually kind of sad haha

Hi question for those who have received their EAD card already in the mail, can you please let me know how long the card is valid for/when the expiration date is please?

It is valid for one year from the day it is approved.

Sooooo....the EAD processing time has just been updated on the USCIS website to between 2.5 months to 5 months again! The inquiry date now is March 2nd, 2019 at the NBC!!

Mine has been received since Nov 23rd and nothing.  Ive submitted 2 "out of normal processing time" requests for my ead and advances parole.  Last night I got RFIE notice for i - 485 and i - 130.  #######?  9 months of waiting and crickets and I get this now?  I've used a lawyer who knows what he's doing and I'm confident that everything was sent.  My wife (USC) goes for surgery today and is going to be off work for a month.  Now  I  don't even have an EAD after 9 months,  only 2 rfie. I'm so upset.  I'm Canadian and literally only live 20 miles from the Canadian border which I haven't been able to cross for the past 9 months to see my family or friends.  Sorry for the rant everyone,  I'm just so upset at this whole unjust process.  I don't even know what to think anymore.   Dies anyone know if my EAD still gets processed or is everything at a standstill now for me?

They received mine November 27th and nothing still. I don’t know if it’s just us November filers because everyone who submitted their paperwork early 2019 has been receiving theirs before us. Whenever I call USCIS it’s always “they’re working on it” 😕

252 here, we have submitted a case for the EAD and AP separately (AP 7/11 and EAD 7/26) and when my husband has called which has been probably 3 times in the past few weeks they always state that once you submit a case, it goes to an "investigator" in a different department who will review it. We can get transferred to that Department only AFTER the 30 days have passed for them to be able to review it. So frustrating, he just wants to see his family too and we just want to get his life started and him to start to work.

I feel you. We’ve been waiting for too long!! I’ve read some October filers who’ve been waiting for more than 270+ days 😔 I don’t wanna wait for that long since I have travel plans by September. Have you tried expediting or somehow asking your congressman/senator for help? I think it won’t speed up the process though 😞

I did mail in the privacy release for to the senator probably 2 weeks ago. Otherwise another senator told me he contacted them a few weeks back in which they said I was still in processing times. I don't think we can expedite without him having a job offer..plus I've heard of that sometimes going bad. I may reach out to the senator again and I'm just going to have my husband calling on a daily basis..

So frustrating! The data they use for the processing times are data from the past 6 months. I bet that's one reason why they started working heavily on early 2019 filers - because now it looks like they're doing really well with their processing times even though there's a bunch of us still waiting from 2018. Unbelievable.

Omg that's awful. I'm so sorry! I hope it's something easily resolvable.... I'm not sure if the EAD would still be processing, it seems odd to me that they would need initial evidence for the other two forms but not the EAD. You may want to try talking with a tier 2 officer about that.

I feel so bad for all the November filers left behind. I have a friend in LA and she and her husband filed on November 2nd. They called at least 3 times because the husband still doesn't have EAD nor Interview date
