Personal note:  I'm finished with this infernal immigration process, but I remember the trauma of it clearly.  I sincerely hope for rapid progress in your case.  Even if I don't respond openly, I'm cheering loudly at your announcement of success.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Looks like processing time jumped ahead to 10/25? Hopefully for those of us who are still waiting this means our time is coming soon.

It jumped ahead a week, but  I think several weeks went by between the 10/18 and 10/25 updates, which overall is not good news :( Can it get any slower???

So as some of y'all know, I had my EAD/AP combo card being produced this week. Well, today I also got my Green Card appointment date! @rrobin0609 and I predicted July 29th, but we have August 6th which is a good timeframe.

Also, since I discovered my EAD/AP combo card was being produced, I finally began applying for jobs. On that note, is it just me or is it SOOOOO frustrating when the online applications ask you to upload a resumé or curriculum vitae so that they can 'autofill' all the fields...and then nothing autofills correctly and it looks like a jumbled mess. Yup, me too. Anyway, I applied for 3 positions at my local Best Buy as I am quite technical with significant repair experience for my own from-home business...and well...

I GOT A JOB INTERVIEW THE DAY AFTER I APPLIED for a pretty senior/mid level repair technician position.

I explained the situation about my legal status in the US, explained I am legal to work now I am just waiting on my combo card in the mail etc and would need the day off for my GC interview and she was totally fine with everything and said it would not be a problem.

Based on my experience, I do not believe EAD/AP makes a damn bit of difference vs having Green Card to employers. I'd seen somewhere on VJ that employers didn't like hiring without GCs.  Hopefully this should lift the spirits of a few people on here!

Hopefully I smash the interview on Monday and will be working within 2 weeks. I have missed making money!

I'm sooooo glad you guys seem to finally be getting some good news.

And I feel that last line, I really do; it took my company almost two months to set it up so I could finally work for them (it was slow on the US side); I start working for them from tomorrow, officially, and will be getting a couple months back pay. Everything crossed for your interview!

ROC Timeline:

Date format is MM/DD/YY

05/16/19 - Green Card Issue Date

03/10/21 - Sent ROC paperwork to Phoenix, AZ | USPS 2-Day Shipping

04/07/21 - NOA1 Text Messages Received

Thank you! It feels like it's been all or nothing the past few months. We heard nothing for months, made 0 progress and then this past week EAD/AP happened, GC Interview was scheduled, we got our GC interview date, I got a job interview. It's a big set of changes, all of which I am okay with.

Wow, two months is a long time for an international country. Good luck with your first official day back at work!

I'll just be glad to be IN a job at this point. I haven't worked since mid September last year. Bare in mind I'm 28 now and have worked full time since I was 16, so it was a tough change to get used to. Now it'll be tough to get used to having no free time again 😂

Congrats to everyone who has recently gotten approvals and Green Card interview dates!! 🎉

Tomorrow will mark 230 days of "Case was Received" for us. As some of you have probably seen, we recently asked a couple of different senators to look into our case and see what the hold up is. We finally heard from our senator's office this morning, and they said they've received our privacy releases and finally put in a request with USCIS to get some answers. We'll be outside of normal processing times pretty soon anyway, but I'm hoping we FINALLY hear something good this week. 🤞

220 days here as well! Seeing pretty regular movement around our dates though (well, within 500 cases) so that's been nice. Hoping for good things again this week for everyone :)
