Waiting for NVC Welcome Letter

I am the petitioner of a CR-1 visa for my Portuguese husband to come to the USA. We received the NOA2 (unofficial notice, from USCIS) that our I-130 petition was approved on May 31st, 2019. We are currently waiting for the NVC (Department of State) to issue notice that they received our case. From what I've read, it seems like we are supposed to get a 'Welcome Letter' with information about paying our fees and designating an agent. It also seems like some people got it by snail mail and e-mail and others by just one of these methods. How long should it take to receive this? And where should we be expecting to receive it?

Any information and experience you can offer would be greatly appreciated!

NOA2 is offical notice

you wait now for the case # for portugal embassy to be assigned

there is no welcome letter till you are approved for the visa after a good interview

How long?   about a month after NVC gets the packet ,  you should hear about the case number and what is needed next

I received my case number through e-mail and it took about 5,5 weeks from NOA2.

So it looks like you receive a notice from the NVC that they received your case, and then at a later date you are issued an NVC case number with information on how to proceed with fees/NVC requirements. Is this correct?

Also, via e-mail: does it always come from the same e-mail address? Some people told me it showed up in their spam folder and they never knew because they didn't have the e-mail address sender in their contact list.

It  comes from: AskNVC@state.gov

The welcome letter will have the case number on it and the invoice number to pay the fee.

In 2018, my mom's IR5 NOA2 was Mar 1st and NVC's welcome letter was April 24

Here is the link so you can see what date received they are starting assigning case#'s. You can call NVC to verify they have your emails and find out what is your receive date also.
