Hi Jesula - we just got DQ'd today for Auckland (IR1/CR1).  You might have better info now, but from everything I've seen on this site, it looks like they typically schedule/send out interview dates around the 20th of each month.  So, my guess is we'll be waiting until around Feb 20th to get an interview date.  Not sure how long the wait is now for an interview - it seems to have really varied in the last year. One person in December had their interview within three weeks after receiving the IL, but that seems pretty fast compared to others in prior months.

Yes I agree, the scheduling was sporadic Last year and not very consistent. I was DQd on 1/28. I hope it comes sooner then later. I think the longest wait Ive seen is 3 months. I am also IR1.

Congrats, that's great news! We haven't heard anything yet, but hopefully soon.  Good to know we won't necessarily have to wait until the 20th.  Did they take account of your need to take a visa to visit NZ or was that just the date you received? My brother is getting married in the States on 4 April and we're really hoping my husband will have the interview done and passport back, but I guess we'll see.

I am going to change my appointment, so that spot will become available. I need something in early April. I contacted the consulate and they told me they do have a later date available in April. Maybe you can slide in. The additional visa I am trying to figure that out. I put in the visa application for my husband (I am the petitioner) and the immigration officer that is handling his visa for NZ is in Beijing and they are out due to the coronavirus (just my luck). Thats why I need a later date to secure the NZ visa. rrrrrrrrrr He is from Samoa.

Hi Jesula, congrats and goodluck for the interview. Out of the topic I would like to ask how did you submit the police clearance in CEAC part? which i believe we cant get that one because we can only sign for a police vetting and they will be the one who would send it to the us consulate.

Hi Rex0523 - I literally just got done doing this and had it rejected, then accepted.

The only this you can do is upload the email thread (the one to vetting@police) which shows that they will send it to the consulate. Unfortunately, the consulate will email but it will be after you submit your documents. NVC denied us and said we had to "upload a valid police certificate" but I just uploaded the same email thread and then a week later they approved it (because they'd seen the email from the consulate then).

It's a really annoying process, but the only one you can do.

tthanks, I just did that though right after I received the email receipt of the police and put also a note before that telling them that I already fill out the form for vetting. Now, waiting to review my case and hopefully it won’t take long and hoping documents are all good.
